Help re hydrating serum

Hi guys,

So I have finally come out of my FOMO and try everything at once phase (Phew!)

Now my skin routine is simplified. I am currently only using a toner, a serum and a barrier moisturiser and loving the results.

What I wanted to check is if I should continue with the Skin 1004 probio cica ampoule as my serum or if you have any better suggestion which I can replace it with. I have dry and dehydrated skin and would like a hydrating serum (no actives for now).

While this is doing a good job with hydration, I am just thinking if I should re purchase this or if I can get an alternative product which will end up doing more for my skin.

While this ampoule claims to strengthen barrier but I have gotten better results from my barrier moisturizer instead. This also claims to enhance skin elasticity due to the fermented ingredients in it - but I am not sure of the long term effect. Though on application, my skin does feel hydrated and bouncy. So should I continue with this?

Is this common occurrence?

It’s just been only few days since I joined Hinge (yeah we can discuss why separately). But but, one common issue I am facing is boys / men are adding 3-4 years to their age when I state they are a little young for me. This already happened with me 3 times in 2 days. Is this common occurrence? But don’t they realise they are coming across as creepy if they do this? Or am I too old school for this shit. I think it’s time to pause my account. Sigh.

Ending of Obsession: Bear’s love

How is everyone interpreting the ending? Bear was about to throw up the pill, even after knowing that is the only way to end the wish. It shows how he at his core is, does not care about Nikki and consequences of his action.

But do you think Bear’s action of not throwing up after Nikki breaks the wish willow was because - (a) the not-Bear does not know Bear has taken the pill and is in another conscience at that moment, or (b) the wish makes him truly love Nikki and decides that dying is the only way to free her ???

People with sensitive skin & barrier issues - how is azelaic acid working?

Hey guys !

I want to address my uneven skin tone issues. My skin care currently is limited to only hydrating and supporting toners, serums & moisturiser.

I want to slowly introduce azelaic acid into my routine. Has anyone with sensitive / barrier issues reacted negatively to say 15% azelaic acid? Not only immediately but over time as well.

Also, my intent is to only address the uneven skin tone issue for now. And I am not confident about introducing Vit C or tret into my routine yet. Any other product which you suggest can be used that’s more suitable to us sensitive skin folks?

What worked for your dry flaky skin

So I am recovering from a bad eczema flare up. It got triggered due to dry weather conditions. And when I say bad, it got really bad. After using steroid and making other wrong choices, I finally simplified my routine and it helped in my skin recovery to a large extent:

  1. Reduced using skin cleanser to minimum. Use only water as much as possible and other times use oats based non foaming cleanser.
  2. Apply Cosrx peptide serum, aloe vera gel and Aveeno moisturiser as frequent as possible
  3. Apply LRP Cicaplast at night time.

This helped in controlling the flare up to quite a large extent but my dry, flaky and irritated skin around my mouth area is not recovering completely. I wanted to check if any specific holy grail product helped you with the dry flaky skin issues and its maintenance over time.

Did not likey 😭

I am the girl who posted few days back raving about the Guava Chili flavour from this brand, so ordered few more. Gotta say was not a good experience this time. There are far better and cheaper options in the market guys. I guess only few flavours would work.

Onto finding the next good brand ✌️

[Product Question] Issue with Cicaplast - Eczema

Is it just me? I have read only raving reviews about this product for people with compromised barrier, inflammation and dryness.

During my latest atopic dermatitis flare-up I gave in and bought one for myself. Did not work at all for me. And I have some doubts that it was rather making it worse. Then I switched to Aveeno and that saved me.

Anyone else faced similar issue and figured out why?

Face Wash - Eczema Prone

Guys, this has been my life saver when I got eczema flare up. I was using the Simple moisturising face wash which worked fine, but during my flare up the eczema kept on getting worse. Switched to the Minimalist oat cleaner and voila! It does not strip my skin, like at all. It is low-foaming, cushiony, creamy gel like texture and does good enough job for cleansing.

Sharing this for guys who are suffers from eczema. You will not regret it :)

I am facing with one bad case of flair up - tight, red inflamed and itchy skin with flaky (now) / crusts (during the initial month) - around mouth, eyes and neck. This was triggered at the end of winter and I live in a dry dry city. This could be mistaken as perioral dermatitis but it’s not.
During the first 2 weeks I applied metronidazole and an ointment containing Fluticasone Propionate and Mupirocin. The initial results were good but the flair up kept coming back and I could not keep using the steroid cream.
So I went to the basics. (1) Stopped using face wash and every 2-3 days using non-foaming oat based cleanser. Else use only water to clean. (2) Using aloe Vera gel as frequently as possible (I have a plant at home so using that for now). (3) Oat moisturiser frequently (Aveeno one). (4) Stopped using Vaseline for now (read somewhere that it could cause to trap in the bacteria). (5) Stopped using every other product I usually apply.
And now my skin finally feels calmer and breathing. I am so happy with the results.
Just sharing in case someone is going through the same issue and needs it.
