Widespread lesions with 5+ week duration

50M has some lesions that have been present for 5+ weeks. No dermatological hx outside of allergy to aluminum, no new meds but will list what is being taken below:

Venlafaxine
Buspirone
Lisinopril
Amlodipine
Atomoxatine

These are most densely present on the back of thighs, buttocks and more sporadically (and smaller) present on trunk (front and back). Pictured is the first lesion and same one 5 weeks later. Other pix are from today.

These have no oozing, no crusting, no pus. There is a fine layer of what appears to be dead skin that’s sloughing on many (apparent healthy pink skin below, no bleeding).

No pain, itchiness or awareness. No exposure to anything new, no fresh tick bites and no risk of fungal issues like ringworm. Humans and pets in the house are symptom-free.

Observation has been the course of action. I’m now implementing cleaning with diluted chx daily and applying triple antibiotic in the AM, miconazole cream in the PM to cover most the bases.

I look forward to hearing from the community.

Etiquette on switching languages

Hi friends. I am hoping other polyglots can help me here:

I'm an American woman living in the USA. I speak English and French well enough, but I'm very new in my Spanish journey.

This evening, I came across a man who did not speak English. It was very dark and he was cleaning an area I needed to use. It was clear he was struggling to share that one area was clean, one area was not. I recognized after the fact that I could probably have navigated the conversation in Spanish, English or French. Yet, unfortunately, I continued in English out of habit.

Again, I could not see the man well enough to make any determinations, but my presumption is that he was likely a Spanish-speaking fellow.

Without disrespecting his effort in speaking the local language, how can I offer to switch to another language that might be easier for him?

Merci, gracias and thank you in advance :)
