How big of a deal is s*x in a relationship? 22F, 24M

the title sounds dumb and maybe this is something dumb, but i found out that i can't have penetrative sex (will have to get a surgery) my boyf and i were trying to be intimate for a really long time and initially i didn't know about this, it caused a lot of tension in the relationship. so i went to a gynac and got to know this. the relationship also became long distance so eventually he broke up with me. i genuinely want to know if any romantic relationship is possible for me in future. i understand its a big part of any relationship so just want an honest answer. im 22f not conventially pretty (have gotten very chubby die to pcod, so no one ever approaches me) and i don;'t think im mentally ready for a surgery (at least for now)

ximb or drop year???????????????????????

i scored 92 and 80 in xat and cat respectively. studied diligently for 6 months, wasn't working or in college. in interviews i barely scaped through. got waitlisted at ximb (now 44) and xlri (600+ not convertible) my interviews were also not great i had no hope. got a job as backup, pretty chill 9-5 weekends off, occasional travel. but im making 6lpa. with ximb i can expect to make somwehere around 15-18 lpa. (12-14 fixed). i checked extensively on linkedin and website etc, alumni seems to be in good companies, ik ill be able to make min of 1lpm. in hand.

my doubt is should i restart and take a risk. i really don't know if I'll be able to get better as i would have to scale from 80 to 95+ to in cat to make a significant difference and with xat i don't know if betting my entire hopes on xl is worth it. though i will be getting around 8-9 months of work ex in addition to prev (6 months)the role is good but long term i know i need to do an mba to scale further. i just have a bcom. profile 9/9/7.

should i risk another year prep or just join xim bm?

Ximb waitlist movement

Can someone give an idea of how the waitlist moves. I moved from 145 to 44 now is this going to move further? If so by when?

I accepted a job offer last week and need to know if I can leave immediately or is there a chance there won't be any movement now?

Joined a new job while on an MBA waitlist (XIMB) - feeling immense guilt over an upcoming work trip. Am I a bad person?

Hi everyone, I’m in a major moral dilemma and my mental health is honestly at an all-time low. I need some perspective on whether I’m "learning to adult" or just being a bad person.

The Situation: I’m currently waitlisted for my target B-school (XIMB BM). )~146 waitlist, I have a chance of converting in the next 2-3 weeks, but looking at last year trends its very uncertain sometimes moving to 250/142/only 5 as well.

I was not confident at all about getting an MBA Admit this year, I started applying and because the job market is so bad and I’ve been job hunting for 2 months, my family and friends pushed me to take a job offer I received as a safety net. They told me not to risk being at home for another year if the waitlist doesn't move.

The Conflict: Today was my joining day. It’s a remote role, but I was told there would be occasional travel to Mumbai. Today, they informed me they are booking flight tickets and a 10 day stay for me in Mumbai starting next week.

I feel incredibly guilty. I know that most probably, I’ll likely be resigning to join my MBA program. The company is spending money on my flights right now. I was on the verge of rescinding the offer during orientation today because I hate being untruthful to my own values but my family & friends kept telling me to keep my options open. i am a very emotional person and when it comes to making decisions i often dont listen to my brain so i tend to ask them since they're very logically driven, completely opposite of how i am.

The Turning Point: My mom told me to give them the details so they can book my flights but after a call with mama, (who we all look upto) who suprisingly ended up saying the same thing i said, even her confidence was cracking. Now I’m spiraling. I feel like I’m tricking this company, even though I know the corporate world never puts employees first.

My Questions:

  1. Is it normal to keep a job as a safety net when you’re 90% sure you’re leaving in a month?
  2. Should I tell them now and risk being unemployed if the waitlist fails, or just go to Mumbai and resign later?
  3. How do I deal with this guilt? I feel like I’m being unethical but everyone tells me this is just how the real world works and i wont survive if i keep sticking to my morals.

Pls advice: introvert pursuing an MBA Wisdom

Sharing something a bit vulnerable here, please don't make fun of it :D

I have always been a very quiet kid. I have had friends. Not a lot. Maybe 3-4 at a time and I am able to form genuine connection with them and they can depend on me and vica versa (though I do have trouble relying on people even if they don't give me any reason not to) I have been picked on a little bit in middle school because I couldn't speak up for myself. Just kind of mocked upon or told I'm not good enough to be a part of their friend group etc. nothing major. In high school, things changed a little bit, I started surrounding myslef with people who genuinely like me and enjoy my company. In undergrad again things changed a little, I went to a women's college and saw a few ppl being mean to me (have me middle school flashbacks) so I focused outside of college in internships etc. made 2-3 genuine friends who I'm still close to. I did a job for 10 months and things really changed there. No one picking on each other, everyone was warm. I genuinely made really good friends, felt comfortable with them, and stopped feeling miserable/less than others.

The reason I have explained all of this is because;

Now I have been preparing for mba and will likely join 1 this year. I'm a little scared about it, I am still somewhat innocent and i'm not sure if I'll be able to open up in an academic setting anymore. I'm confident in my abilities and work ethic but Mba is a lot about networking and making right connections. If someone can guide me on how to go about it and navigate mba life pls drop some tips!

I’m currently very confused between joining XIMB BM this year (if I convert merit no ~140) versus continuing with a startup role I just accepted.

Context:

  • Startup Analyst role
  • ₹45k/month Work from home
  • Occasional travel to Mumbai/other cities for events (stay covered + allowance)
  • Role seems genuinely interesting to me work sounds dynamic and I like startup ecosystems, if i didb't have mba alternative i would have happily joined

XIMB:

  • Average placements seem around 17 - 18 LPA
  • Earlier consulting placements existed but from what I understand, good non IT strategy consulting is limited now

My long-term interest is more toward consulting/strategy/startups/VC-type roles, but realistically I don’t know if XIMB gets me there in a major way.

Another issue:
I have signed the offer letter for now & I’m joining the job on Monday, while XIMB joining would be around June 3rd week if I convert. I didn’t mention MBA plans during interviews because earlier when I did, companies rejected me immediately. Now I feel conflicted about whether it’s unethical to join knowing there’s a decent chance I may leave for MBA in 1-2 months. i also would have a notice period of 1 month &

Also being realistic:
I am under the gen category & don’t think I’m a 99+ percentile CAT person. I scored horribly this time (80, Mostly due to panic and messing up dilr) Decent score in XAT (92) I think maybe 95 is realistic for me, which could maybe get colleges slightly above XIMB (MDI, few baby IIM's, IITs, maybe SPJIMR/XLRI), but probably not IIM BLACKI/ISB-level consulting campuses.

Please help me decide, on one hand i might have the option of joining ximb (current merit no 140) so most probably will convert. I got an offer for a remote job with travel across India (paid for). I like the role, weekends are off, 9-5. so i should have enough time to reappear again. i'm just so drained by this entire cycle and want to settle with ximb, however, with this job i might have a shot at good colleges. the entire process is so unpredicatble, what if i end up worse of next year?

I have gotten waitlisted at XIMB (BM) program and would most likely clear. Waitlisted for XLRI D as well (but 99% wont clear its around 600) I am interested in consulting (Priority 1) , VC (P2) though they don't come on campus and management trainee/generalist roles (Priority 3). I have a bcom 9/9/7 profile with 6 months of work ex in program management at a startup accelerator. I am taking up NISM certfications.

I started applying for jobs last month as I didn't think if I'll get any admit. Now after giving few interviews I am getting an offer from another startup accelerator in Mumbai (pay will be around 50-60K) with 1 year retention bonus of ~70K.

However I am concerned about:

  1. Surviving in Mumbai on this budget (I am not from there and the office is in Andheri)
  2. Delaying MBA plans, i think XIMB is a decent pick as it has consulting opportunities, though a lot in IT and half of the batch is BTECH, so should i risk it?
  3. I left the job to prep for cat as I wasn't able to continue with it but I did work part time with my mom in her ngo, but idk if that can be reflected in my final cv
  4. The role I am offered can open up good opportunities in VC which is also something I am interested in

Mba advice: should I prep again

Hi guys

I'm in a bit of a situation could you please help me out. I completed my undergrad in 2024.

I have 6 months of work ex in a startup incubator/accelerator space. My work was interesting and I got to do a lot in these 6 months. But I had to leave because the company was going under financial problems and it was affecting us a lot . I left and decided to prep for mba. I want to get into the VC space but finding it extremely difficult. So I was thinking of doing mba in finance from a good brand name college and hopefully my previous experience would have given me an edge for those roles. I'm not closed to other options but this was my no 1 goal.

Now I gave cat and completely tanked it. Didn't get a single call from any college. Gave xat as a last resort and got few calls. I converted glim c, and waitlisted at gim and ximb (bm ) will likely convert since waitlist numbers are around 150 for both. Still waiting for xlri but not sure about it coz I only score 93 in xat. (Cleared the cutoff for gnef

I also have been giving job interviews on the side and gotten a couple offers from startups. Pay would be around 40k plus retention bonuses. I don't think it's bad for a bcom grad but based on the interviews I know their startup culture won't allow me to prep for cat again this year.

I'm really confused should I take another year to prep/ try getting a chiller job/join ximb?

Seems like a decent college and ofcourse there's no guarantee what will happen next year. Please guide!
