Hello seniors, I need a serious reality check on a specific academic path I am planning. I am heavily torn between two choices:

1. ​CBIT Hyderabad (Telangana) — B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE)

2.  ​IIT Jodhpur — B.Tech in Bioengineering (BSBE) paired simultaneously with the IIT Madras Online BS in Data Science and Applications.
   

Can you please give me the realistic picture on the following:

1​ . Placement Reality for BSBE: What percentage of students realistically land tech/data profiles on-campus? Are Bioengineering students banned from sitting for top-tier SDE (Software Development Engineer) roles by the companies? What is the actual median package just for this branch?

2. ​Future Tech/MS Options: If I take Bioengineering, how practical is it to maintain a good CGPA while coding on the side? Do students easily go abroad for an MS in Bioinformatics or Biomedical Engineering, or do they transition into core IT?

3. ​The Final Choice: Is the "IIT Tag" of Jodhpur worth leaving a core tech branch (CSE) at a top state college like CBIT Hyderabad?

4.Beating Company Placement Barriers: If a software/tech company visits the IIT Jodhpur campus and blocks non-circuital branches (like Bioengineering) from sitting for tests, will having an official BS Degree in Data Science from IIT Madras help convince the placement cell or the recruiters to let me clear the eligibility barrier?
