When can I safely go back to eating normally? 😭

It is day six since I got my wisdom teeth removed (3 total, two upper & one lower tooth 🦷).

This whole week I've been really good drinking soup eating extremely soft mashed potatoes/sweet 🥔, drinking milkshakes, pretty much mostly liquid liquids & extremely soft foods (not even soft fish I was scared of little bones). I've even been scared to eat Mac and cheese because I know l've heard you can cook it soft and eat it but I don't understand like how it won't get stuck there when you chew?

I really miss chips, pizza 🍕, siracha, ice cream with chocolate chips and Oreo cookies, shrimp tempura sushi ... sorry I'm really hungry I can keep going on and on 😪

What's the normal timeframe people can eat again? Assuming the healing is going well.

My bestfriend of 20 years catfished me

I've been friends with Shelly since we were 9 years old. Our friendship survived going to different high schools, moving to different states and countries, and marriage and divorce. However we did have a falling out when we were 18 and took a trip together to NY. It was a petty argument, I think it stemmed from spending over a week together with no real breaks. But we stopped talking for about two months because of it.

Shelly did try to reach out to me during those two months, but I was still butthurt over how things went down. I was also feeling very isolated and lonely due to experiencing racism in college and flunking my classes. During this time, I start talking to a guy named "Rob". He commented on a public Instagram account I had where I used to review books, and we exchanged numbers. We texted a lot and had a couple phone conversations. Around this time, Shelly and I made up, and things with "Rob" fizzled out.

Last week Shelly and I were discussing heartbreaks we had in our lives (wine was involved lol). I told her that friendship heartbreaks always hit the hardest for me, and our falling out in NY did a number on me at the time. She agreed, and said that she missed talking to me so much that she made "Rob".

I thought she was joking at first, because it was so random and bizarre. She then went in detail about how she became "Rob", including getting one of her roommates at the time to be his voice and keeping my interest by talking about things I enjoyed. She seemed to think it was funny and not a big deal because I never got serious about "Rob". But I'm angry and the more time passes the more angry I get about it. She continued being Rob for weeks after we reconnected. It only really fizzled out between he and I because he refused to meet up or facetime, which should have been suspicious at the time, but I took it as rejection and moved on because it was affecting my self esteem.

On one hand I feel like I shouldn't hold onto this thing that happened over 10 years ago when we were 18. Shelly had no way of knowing it affected me like it did and it really honestly shouldn't have. I do think she missed me during that time and I did kind of ignore her for a bit. But on the other hand, I am completey flabbergasted at how she could do that and the lengths she went to to make it seem real.

I'm not sure how to approach this situation with her.

**EDIT** Thank you all so much for all your responses. I greatly appreciate how many of you are able to see how difficult it is to experience a betrayal of trust for someone you've known for most of your life. I also appreciate those who are adding layers and making me think of things I havent yet considered. I am still processing all this. I'd also like to thank everyone adding their own personal stories. I didn't really this was an issue so many have experienced.

Got my wisdom tooth taken out four hours ago

Update from my last post, but I don’t know how to update with pictures. I’m in some pain I was prescribed Motrin but the dentist office forgot to send it to the pharmacist so for now I’m taking acetaminophen 🤷🏽‍♀️ I heard that icing your teeth the first day on and off can help with the swelling a lot (I don’t really care about the look of swelling, but I heard that swelling can cause pain). Randomly I got this red squishy blood clot thing that came out of my mouth, called the dentist office. They said it was normal. The last picture is my cat supporting me and my time of need 😂

Questions?:

-Is that blood clot normal? (when I called, they said that that was good.)

-Does the pain get worse as the days go on or it gets better?

-Should I buy one of those oral syringe to rinse out the wound? Not sure if I’d need to use that after I eat .I didn’t get any sutures if that makes a difference.

-I’ve heard some people say that after getting their wisdom teeth, removed their jaw structure changed (like it wasn’t as defined). I know this may seem silly or superficial, but I’m just curious if this is true?

I’m getting all three of my wisdom teeth taken 😅 any advice?

One of my teeth are impacted and the other is also starting to do the same (I only have three in total they said I’m lucky 😃).

Anyways I’ve never had any sort of medical procedure done, so I’m pretty nervous. So if anybody knows answers to any of the questions :

  1. Will it change my jaw structure and cause any difference in the way that I look ?

  2. How can I prevent dry socket or any other infections?

  3. How can I recover as soon as possible?

  4. Does anybody have any advice on how to prepare leading up to the procedure and after the procedure?

  5. How long should I avoid eating (soft then hard foods?)

  6. Should I get all three taken out? Or the impacted side first , then another appointment later for the other side ?

I’m getting wisdom teeth taken out and I’m nervous.. any advice?

Apparently, it’s time to take out my wisdom teeth since one of them are impacted. I’m really nervous. Does anybody have tips on how to prepare physically mentally emotionally before and after the procedure? I’m also nervous because I’m just gonna be numbed so I might feel pulling and things like that 😅
