Pakistani here

I’m a Pakistani university student studying Software Engineering, and I’ve noticed that Indian students seem to have a really strong presence in tech—whether it’s programming, open-source, competitive coding, internships, or just building projects.

For Indian students here: what are you doing differently? Is it the university environment, YouTube/online resources, competitive programming culture, starting early, internships, or simply having a massive tech community around you?

I’m not asking from a political angle—I genuinely want to learn what Pakistani students could adopt from your approach.

If you’re an Indian student, I’d especially appreciate hearing about your actual routine: what you study, how many hours you put in, which resources you use, and how you got your first internship/project.

And before anyone starts a Pakistan-vs-India argument: if the two countries start fighting in the comments, that’s between you guys. I’m just here trying to get better at coding. 😂. Don't criticize for my religion I didn't choose and an identity I was forced upon

Lost.......

19 years old once a confident boy with excellent grades and captain of football team of his town

December 2025 started preparing for entry tests . Cracked Ecat and Fast NU test and got admission in Fast and UET in CS

Didn't wanted to burden my father so took admission in UET instead of fast huge mistake.

15 September 2025 First time in hostel with roommates I didn't choose, food that was terrible, room was on 4th floor with broken windows and the worst part was department. Bachelor pass students teaching bachelor students .

Lost interest in studies and ended up with 2.8 cgpa

Didn't tell anyone and decided to work hard for next semester Iran war started came back home for 1 month and again lost the frequency.

Messed up mids badly close enough to fail . Didn't give up still worked hard and ended up with 2.9 sgpa.

Whenever I contact my seniors and and cousins all of them say that cs is finished even for excellent students.

All I see is darkness , doom scrolling , heavy pon and mast*rbation

Two months ago I came back from hostel confidence is finished . Once I had 20+ friends group but now I even avoid making eye contact with anyone

Went out of house only for jumma because my father is at home on jumma . Not prayed a single namaz for 3 months . Not opened Quran from 10 months

Move abroad .. Rac*sm, visa rejections,

Govt job.. All rishwat and safarish

CS.. finished

What am I supposed to do . I didn't came in this world on my choice but now i have to figure out life and I am in competition with ai robots .. strange times to be alive . Not interested in life anymore

Last year my 3 cousin's went to Australia for bachelors with partial scholarship

Every video I watch on YouTube says that you cannot fulfil the semester fee with part time job . All of them belongs to middle class families and moved to Australia on savings . I am just curious how they are affording fees and living costs while buying iphones....

Why tf should Pakistan accept a gro*ming g*ng leader

Out if nowhere uk political videos started poping on my TikTok feed and I noticed a strange pattern

Desi goray whose parents arrived in uk via dunki have made their entire political carrier on bashing desis specially Pakistanis and showing like the students who come from Pakistan are the reason of uk decline

And now a Desi Gori trying to appeal far right is saying that Pakistan should accept a gng leader who left Pakistan when he was 12 just because he is not safe for British girls

R Pakistani women less then anyone that Pakistan should accept him and he can roam freely in streets

Good to hear that Pakistan showed a spine and refused to accept him despite uk threating to ban visas and aids

19 year-old planning to study in Germany – What was your experience after landing?

Hi everyone,

I'm 19 years old and currently planning to move to Germany for my higher studies. I've been doing a lot of research about universities, blocked accounts, visas, and accommodation, but I'm still curious about what happens after you actually land in Germany.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your personal experiences.

What was the first thing you did after arriving at the airport?

How did you get to your accommodation?

Did you face any challenges during your first few days?

How did you manage your living expenses before finding a part-time job?

How long did it take you to start earning, and was it enough to cover your monthly expenses?

Do you have any tips or things you wish you had known before arriving?

. how you managed to live in complete isolation without friends and family??

I'm a bit nervous but also excited about this new chapter, and I think hearing real experiences from people who have already gone through the process would really help.

Thanks in advance to everyone who shares their story or advice!
