Puch E50 crank seal orientation

Hey I’m seeing conflicting specs for rebuilding the Puch bottom end. This doc says to have the seals pointed one way, but in the German company puch shop’s video on rebuilding one of these they have the seals the opposite:

https://vintagemopeds.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/puch-e50-assembly.pdf

(on Clutch side, open part of seal is facing bearing here)

in this video from PuchShop they very explicitly say to put the open side towards the crank around 8:20.

Anyone have a definitive answer on this?

Can’t get bearing on crank all the way. Puch e50

At my wit’s end with this bearing. I’ve tried getting it on there 4 times now. Froze the crank for a day, put the bearing in a toaster oven at 250 for 20 minutes. Every time it gets stuck before sitting flush. at this point I’ve probably hurt the bearing and/or crank with putting it on and taking it off over and over.

Any advice would be awesome. I do know someone with a hydraulic press, could that be an option? Any other home remedies for this before I go that route? For whatever reason the heat and cold trick is not happening for me.

Ceramic tint worthwhile?

Hey I’m interested in getting a ceramic tint on my newly acquired 2009 sport trim. Mainly doing it for cooling the interior. not Sure if This makes sense, but I see most tinted Cars are fancier cars trying to stunt and look cool. I’d like my car to look cool too but I don’t want it to look like I’m trying to be some dope modded thing because it’s not haha. So I suppose My question is, is getting a quality tint practical, or is it just a vanity modification I should avoid for my stock Fit?

Is this chip okay? Puch e50

I must have caused this little chip on one of my puch e50 cases in the process of cleaning it. Should I just add extra Honda bond there? Is it of concern?

Puch stuffy crank from treats bearings and seals

Putting e50 motor back together. On the clutch side of this treats stuffy crank there are two grooves next to the seal. I’m a bit confused because the bearing should go next, but I don’t understand what the first groove is for. I assume the second is for the snap ring. Am I putting this back together incorrectly?

How to remove clutch bell bushing E50

Rebuilding my puch maxi e50 engine. Following along as CornPed disassembles one and in his video the brass bushing just slips right off. Mine is getting stuck on the end of the crank. Am I missing a tool or technique? Is it okay to reuse these? Do I need to just cut off the end of the crank to get this thing Out?

Hey all. I’m just Starting a complete rebuild of my 1974 Puch Newport. I have a airsal 70 kit, exhaust, carb, etc. I’m fairly comfortable with tuning the kit and carb and all that. But I’m also upgrading to the Cross Country CDI. I’m wondering How I should tackle the wiring. should I just ditch the entire stock harness and use the new CDI as the harness essentially? I know I can wire lights to it. Assume the kill switch as well can go to it. Just worried Because I’m not very fluent in wiring and don’t want to delete something important. thank you!

Looking to get a dremel tool for case Matching/porting two stroke engine cases. is the Bauer 8v cordless ($50) the way to go, or one of the corded options (0.6amp for $40; or 1.6amp with flexible shaft for $80) ? leaning towards cordless but just curious if anyone has any insights. I already have a Bauer battery for my impact wrench. Thanks!
