OK, so I was doing deliveries today first time back on Uber since April but went and got a notification on my phone to pick up a meal at sizzling bites Halal. OK so I accept the order. It was a short distance total maybe about 15 minutes start to finish and it left a decent tip about six dollars. I see the address and it said to deliver the side door on Ontario Street and it looked like it was a corner house so I find the house. I see the side door. I leave it there. I rang the doorbell and I take a picture. OK however afterwards I walked over to the house the front of the house to see the street number and I could see the street number was it ended in two zeros and that was not the street number for the delivery. Not wanting the customer to not get their food they paid for I contact Uber live chat right away, and I let them know what happens. Live chat, which I’m not even sure if it’s a real person I’ve noticed whatever I do live chat. The person always has the same name which is an Indian name but anyhow, I contact Uber support. I let them know what’s happening and Uber support will not help me. They will not. I didn’t even need the house number. I wanted to know if the customer service could call or message the customer or if Uber could call the customer for me and they wouldn’t do it it’s like I’m arguing with a chat bot. They just tell me that they cannot give out the customer address and then they tell me to dispose of the food so yes, Uber shitter shitty customer service is also screwing over the customers. By the way, this is just a fluke thing. This is the first time anything like that has ever happened to me in my experience of doing Uber and DoorDash.

This was Christmas of 2024. I was in California to go to Magic Mountain for the holiday and I didn’t rent a car while I was there so I had some stuff sent directly to my hotel since I ordered on the Walgreens app I was not able to tip my driver afterwards…. it was then the week after that I started my journey with Uber eats and eventually DoorDash, but I still feel guilty about that and I’d like to remind people that sometimes when you order directly from an app, you’re not able to tip the driver because you’re not on Uber or any of their competitors actual app …
