Is he depressed or locked in?

So, i have a friend..we used to play football daily no matter if anyone came we play regardless. We just passed 12th grade and we have a 3 months gap period. Now he is persuing engineering for that he is preparing for jee but here is the concerning part. 2 days ago i asked him to play football with me. He refused so i asked the reason and boy oh boy thing slowly got serious. He initially told me he wants to study for jee so i told him to play with us for 2 hour only. He said his routine is 7;30AM TO 6PM-COACHING AND 6:00PM-11:00PM-Doing thr question that coaching gave. I was stunned i told him it would mess up his mental health and persisted him to play for a hour only as it would freashen up his mind. And here is what followed.

He told me "People who get full marks study 18 hours why cant i?" I told him most of them end up doing suicidě. He replied "But i get through it i will chillfor my entire life" ignoring the suicide part then i told him he will regret not playing as he would miss these days and told him he is too young(18 years) and thr exam is too hard and competitive for him to clear like there is only 0.5 chance of clearing. He replies saying "Everyone regrets something let me regret this and you will regret something too and that 1 hour is way too much for me to 'waste'.". Then i asked him last time if he wants to play and he straight up decline. Lastly i told him i will miss him amd he replied "The person you are missing is de@d" and that "Nostaligia is a bitch" lastly saying "We would all die so why does anything matters and regret dont matter too." That was the moment i knew either he was

  1. Is depressed

  2. Is hardcore locked in

What do you think?

Ps:This is a very summarised story the actual chat lasted 1:30 hour and some chat was really personal that i cant write and its really not that important to the incident.

Also the reason he is like this now is surely becouse of his parents becouse he is a introvert and his parent forced him to do it. Initially he was agreeing with me about the stress pary and all but soon he started to reply like what i mentioned before

Help me to become a attractive and charming person

Before anything i dont mean attractive and charming by looks..rather i mean attractive as when people meets me they want to talk to me again and again. Charming as when they meets me they dont feel uncomfortable, akward. So before covid i was what i am asking people used to love me and want to talk to me again and again. Girls used to accept my proposal immediately. I tried to bring that personality back but covid give me a huge disadvantages...my bodyweight increased to a whopping 30 kg in 3 years. All my confidence..gone my girl..long gone(different story). So long story short my fat bring me down quite literally. Kindly advice me to gain that back

Ps:I already know loosing fat would help i am doing that give me few more tips. Please dont give obvious advice like "be more happy" and all i already know that. Give me something i dont know

DAE Am i the only one who finds listening music cringe?

Hear me out i am not saying that whoever listens music is cringe or anything but i found it cringe and lame like why are you lisening to some frequencies and you are enjoying it. In my sorrounding everyone loves music and when they ask my favorite song i always says "None" and they get surprised like i declined their identity. So is there anyone who doesnt listen to music and doesnt get affected by its absence?
