Dapper needs a home!

Hi everyone! This is our foster, Dapper. We picked him up from a shelter in ATL last week and brought him up to RVA. We are fostering through Richmond Animal League.

A bit about Dapper. We believe he is around 2 years old and he is full of love! People, dogs, kids, anyone that will give him attention he will give an equal amount of love back to. I truly think he is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever had the pleasure of fostering. He is house trained and crate trained. His time as a stray has made him forget some of his manners so he can be a bit of a bulldozer that doesn’t know his size and may take a while to learn what is and isn’t a toy (he is a fast learner) If you are looking to adopt a new friend please go to Richmond Animal League’s website and submit an application!

Before the comments about him being a foster fail start rolling in, I just want to say how grateful we are to be able to foster. We’ve had so many incredible foster dogs over the years, and we want to continue giving other dogs in need the same opportunity. We already have 24 permanent rescue residents, and adding another permanent dog would ultimately reduce the quality of life for the animals already in our care, something we would never want.

Thank you for taking the time to read about this sweet man!

Update: Dapper has a meet and greet tomorrow that was facilitated by a connection made on Reddit. Thank you all!

My current foster is so sweet

This is Dapper. He is possibly the sweetest dog I have ever met. He was at a shelter in ATL for 4 months so we brought him up to RVA to foster. He LOVES people, kids and other dogs. He is incredibly lazy and likes to be carried everywhere even though he weighs 65 pounds. Hoping to find this sweet boy the perfect home he deserves!

Does filling up the hay loft count as action?

The lume is always killer in the hay loft so I had to snap a picture today. 150 orchard grass bales and 25 alfalfa stocked away for the horses just to do it all again in a few months!

[Glashutte] Vintage watches are for big wrists too.

Made a trade for this today. I have 7.5” wrists and most of my collection falls in the 39-42mm range but I just can’t deal with the fact that I’m missing out on so many vintage pieces just because they look like an M&M on my wrist. At 35mm this is definitely on the small side for me but I am very excited to wear this out to events as my new dress watch. Any other big wristers rock small watches?

There has been a lot of conversation lately about the new Longines Hydroconquest release, specifically regarding its similarity to the Rolex submariner.

With an MSRP of $2200 coming in at roughly 20% of the retail price of a submariner what is the consensus of diminishing returns when it comes to watches? A lot of people are going on about getting 95% of the watch for 20% of the cost. What are your thoughts on this?
