Is this normal amount of hair to fall out after washing it and blow drying it?

When i touch my scalp I have a feeling that my hair has thinned down, it is falling only from the roots, whole hairs, almost no breakage..

I have waist length hair

This lasts more than 6 months.. i have visited a local dermatologicst and she said that everything is okay and it is normaln because my hair is very long, but this has never happened before, i have very long hair my whole life
