Dawn’s warning

Any thoughts on what this battle Jason has been fighting all this time and has already lost is? I’m wondering if it has to do with Energy Vampire Thadwick, I kinda feel like he’d maybe work as a series BBEG if he’s got any lingering animosity towards Jason because of their interactions in the early series? I could also be way off, I’ve finished book 12, but I am aware that there is more available online so we may already have answers that I just haven’t gotten to yet

Clive’s appearance?

So I feel like I have no idea what Clive looks like and I don’t remember much said about his appearance other than tall and lanky (and that was at Iron). Wondering if I missed anything?

I more or less picture Scar’s brother from Fullmetal Alchemist but with brown hair and eyes (especially post rank up) but I could be way off

This genre has ruined me for regular length stories

Hyperbolic title aside, I more or less exclusively consume books in audiobook format these days and I feel like I’ve gotten so used to super long books that other books just feel wildly short

I’ve been listening to audiobook versions of books I read a long time ago and the whole book is like 10 hours (admittedly not particularly long books, but still). I’m looking at the thing saying that there are 3.5 hours left and I’m just thinking of all the plot points remaining in those 3.5 hours. Conversely, I’m also relistening to something from this genre and there’s about 7 hours left on the book and we’re in the ramp up phase to the final conflict

Wild lol

When on slow cooker mode, the vent switch keeps switching itself closed if I open the lid. Is that a problem?

So I’m pretty new to the InstantPot, only used it a handful of times and mostly on slow cooker mode. There’s a vent switch on the top to open or close the valve that would typically stay closed while it’s pressure cooking, but I assume it should stay open while slow cooking. However if I open the lid to add ingredients at various stages of the cooking process, the switch automatically switches itself to closed, and I need to remember to manually switch it back to open so it doesn’t pressure cook for the next few hours

Or at least I think I need to do that, which is kind of the point of this post lol. Is it even a problem? Will it just automatically vent itself as needed?

What happens if you’re caught consuming souls?

I assume you’ll have righteous cultivators coming after you, but is it a lot? Are there other consequences beyond that?

I am losing my job. I’ve been offered 16 weeks severance, either as a lump sum or they continue to pay my salary for the next 16 weeks. Which option is best for me financially?

Mostly outlined in the title, but just wondering what is best for me from a financial perspective (located in Ontario)

Can IT tell what you are doing on a personal device that’s connected to company wifi if what you’re doing is offline?

Essentially I want to play a video game on steam in offline mode between meetings. It’s a personal device but I am connected to the company wifi, will that give them access to what I am doing even if it doesn’t use the internet at all?

Playing the game offline?

I’m considering buying this game, but there was a review saying that it couldn’t be played offline due to DRM. In a couple weeks I’ll be spending a couple weeks somewhere without wifi and was considering picking this game up for that time, but not if offline play is not possible. I searched and came across a post that said something about launching the game while on wifi, and it would work afterwards. So I’m just looking for some clarification, is launching it on wifi first a “one and done” thing where I at least need to launch it once on wifi and then I’m good afterwards? Or does it need to be launched while connected each time?

Edit: this would be for the Steam Deck
