My friend is convinced this is an escaped pet Kookaburra

Location: Palm Coast, FL

Apologies for the quality, I didn’t want to get closer and scare it off.

I’m visiting my friend who has lived here for years and spends a lot of time outside. He says he’s never seen this type of bird before and is convinced it’s an escaped pet. Can anyone identify this?

Does anybody know if there’s an international farmer’s market around Gwinnett that sells this stuff?

I used to get this rose flavored drink at an international farmer’s market in Cobb county several years back before I moved back over to Gwinnett. It’s one of my favorite drinks and I’ve been looking everywhere for it for years. It’s really hard to find this, or anything similar that isn’t alcoholic or meant for cooking, online. I think my last hope is an international farmer’s market over here, like the one I used to go to.

My cat plays too roughly with the other cats in the house

Is there any way to teach him to not be so rough? Will he calm down as he gets older? He’s around 1 now.

I don’t believe it’s fighting behavior. It starts as playing behavior that’s mutual between them, but then he gets gradually rougher until the other cat runs away hissing. Of course, this leads to him chasing the other cat.

Currently if he gets too rough, I put him in “time out” for 10 minutes, but I’m wondering if there could be a more effective way of doing this. He’s got plenty of toys and I do play with him every day until he’s ready to rest, so he’s not lacking enrichment.
