There was an Intern. The CEO had to respond to damage-control.
Alright. This story is about an year old when I was friend w a close aide who worked in a startup based out of Bangalore. An intern had left the startup, there was no news as to why he left, or if he was removed from the company. Before leaving, he sent out an email that was v different from the usual sign-offs that are done professionally. This created a buzz around the community and it went viral so much that it reached the ex-employees of that startup who left it like 2-3 years ago.
Case in point being that when he might have sent this email, there was no buzz for the next 1-2 days. Hardly anyone read it. But when the CEO took time to personally respond to the entire team in ref to this email, everybody read the original intern's email and this is precisely why it went viral. It reached several of the ex-employees as well, and a lot of seniors seemed to sympathize with the intern, including me.
I've attached both the intern's email and CEO's response.
