Suspected IBS-C, flare ups worsen when sitting

My GI suspects I have IBS-C or some similar nerve-stomach disorder. The thing causing us to hesitate to fully diagnose is the fact I have no food borne triggers and pain often comes out of nowhere. My flare ups tend to be extremely painful and have caused passing out before. I’ve noticed lately that I will feel completely fine until I sit down at my desk, and suddenly my stomach is burning and I feel terrible. Does anyone else experience this or know why this happens? It can be very frustrating when driving.

My Accutane Lip SAVIOR

I’m 17F on about month 4 of 60mg Accutane and my lips have just been hell. Cracking on the corners, peeling, bleeding… You name it. Last week, I was out of town and realized I forgot my Aquafor! Tragedy, I was done for.

I went into a Dollar General to see if I could find some Aquafor and I couldn’t find any. So, I bought this Aveeno lip care stuff. Tried it thinking it’d just be mid a 5 day solution. And oh. my. gosh. It is so hydrating. It felt like it sealed together all my peeling bits. It felt so good on my peeling lips. The moment I put it on my lips feel as smooth as they did before I was on Accutane AND MORE!

If you are struggling with Accutane lips, I couldn’t recommend this more. While it didn’t fix already blistering cracks, it is so soothing and helps prevent future cracking. It’s 40% Glycerin, as well as Shea butter, a tripple oat complex, and Dimethicone. It is free of fragrances, petroleum (which surprised me), lanolin, dyes, and parabens. I’m not being paid to say this xD, just love this product.

TLDR: If you’re struggling with Accutane lips and Aquafor isn’t doing enough, try Aveeno Skin Relief Healing Ointment. It is amazing.

Finally walking a 6 year old girl

I’m 17F and have a 6 year old husky. She’s a great girl and doesn’t act up because she has 8 acres of land to run around in with her big sister (a 9 year old Lab).

But, recently I decided she deserves some more so I’ve been walking her 1.8 miles down a dirt road by my house every day. I assume she get’s pretty bored at home as her sister’s getting old and she doesn’t really have a lot of toys she likes (won’t play fetch and tears everything else up, oe just doesn’t care). I live in Kansas so it gets warm, but she’s used to it; and, on the hotter days I make sure to shorten our walks and give her more water than usual.

I think she’s begun inhaling dirt on the walks because she’s started to stop and hack randomly. I don’t use a collar so I know she’s not choking. I have her on a harness with a leash that goes about 8 feet.

Today, she was really lagging behind and acting slow, as if she didn’t want to go. Now, she is very used to warm weather and today was cooler than it usually is on our walks. 81° with 42% humidity (which is higher than normal).

I am a crazy overthinker when it comes to my fur babies because I love them so much and don’t have 5 minute access to a vet, as I live in the country around 30 mins from our vet.

After today’s walk she was panting a little harder than usual and kept swallowing. She’s sleeping beside me right now, although she’s still catching her breath. It’s been about 45 minutes since we got home.

Before the walk, I forgot to take off her collar and our invisible fence shocked the poor girl (don’t shame me, it’s because she is an escape artist and I’d rather my dog not get hit by a car going 55mph), so it’s possible she was shaken up during the walk.

I dunno, I’m just worried. Should I take her to the vet for the hacking thing? Or maybe get a new harness? Or even if she’s just building up endurance…

I’ve thought about walking her in a new area, but there’s no where else close to my house I could take her, as we live near strictly 55mph streets with no side walks. When I get my car back from the shop, I could take her to the park. But, it feels unfair to my other dog because I can’t take her (she’s built real heavy for a Lab and I can’t control the both of them alone.)

So, fellow husky owners, any advice? Or am I being overly anxious?

First Time Buyer looking at a 2011 Lexus LS 460 L.

I’m 17F and I’ve been looking for cars for nearly a year with absolutely no luck. I’m determined to buy either a Honda or a Toyota (as well as their daughter brands) due to American-made cars doing my family like crap all my life.

Today, I found a 2011 Lexus LS 460 L in my area with 128k miles on it. Single owner, no accidents, clean title. It’s priced at $14,999 + fees & taxes. Price can be haggled at this dealer, though. I have a budget of no more than $17,000 final price. Locally, my sales tax is 7.5%.

I’m here to ask if anyone has anything to say about whether this car is worth it or if it will be a liability.

I need a car that will last me well and be reliable as a daily car. I’ve been told it has some common issues, although no repairs of said issues are mentioned in the CarFAX reports. It seemed to be maintenanced around every 10,000 miles or less. The car is in extremely good condition visually: the exterior is very clean and the interior looks almost untouched. It has every feature I’m looking for: Bluetooth, Backup camera, Sunroof, Leather power seating, Heated/Cooled seats, etc. However, I have yet to see it in person because I do not want to get my hopes up on a car that I shouldn’t buy.

If anyone owns this car or knows a lot about it, can you inform me on what I should know and what I should look for?

2011 Lexus LS 460 L, first car ever.

hey everyone, i’ve been here quite a few times because i’ve been trying to buy my very first car for basically a year and it keeps on failing me. i searched far and wide for a honda accord that fit my needs and my budget and i am striking out.

today i found a 2011 Lexus LS 460 L with 128k miles on it for $14,999 USD + 7.5% sales tax. single owner, no accidents, clean title.

i’m not very familiar with lexus (nor toyota for that matter) as my family has always strictly owned Fords. i’m here to ask if this is a car worth buying.

i’m 17 and it would be my daily to go to school and work, as well as a few extra trips to local places. i just need something that i can set and forget. i’m a little concerned about the fact that it takes 91 octane premium fuel, as gas prices are crappy right now, and it has quite a big tank for a sedan (22.2 gal). but, i’m willing to bite the bullet for a good car, as long as paying that much in gas would promise me a fuel efficient car.

please let me know if this car is worth even looking at. i have yet to see it in person as i need to find someone to drive me to it, though luckily it’s local. it is also at a dealer where i could haggle down the price. i’m not quite sure what it’s truly worth by the KBB. if someone could give me some advice, i’d really appreciate it!

TLDR: i’m a first time car buyer looking for a daily to set and forget and i need to know if a 2011 Lexus LS 460 L with 128k miles on it and a clean title is worth purchasing for $14,999.

Functional Abdominal Pain Disorder | CW for discussion of symptoms

I’m 17F and I was diagnosed with Functional Abdominal Pain Disorder a few months ago due to debilitating stomach issues I’ve struggled with since I was 13. They did a lot of tests and found nothing and labeled it as a Functional Disorder.

I’ve been being treated for it using a once a day medication that’s supposed to stop it from happening entirely. It isn’t. I didn’t get flare ups for the first month but recently I keep getting them. A flare up for me is paralyzing. I get severe stomach pain that feels like its burning through my body and completely killing me. It has caused rapid blood pressure drops due to the pain in the past that have caused over 3 episodes with loss of consciousness. I’ve never been to emergency care during an episode.

They prescribed me Dicyclomine for flare ups, but it doesn’t seem to work. Instead, it gives me crazy heartburn which just moves the pain to a new place. I am so, so tired of having to deal with this while my GI tells me that it is a miscommunication between my brain and my body.

I just want relief. I have never seen others with this same disorder and I know it typically goes away in adulthood. I just want to feel better and feel like someone knows what I am going through. I need to mention that it’s not typically triggered by specific foods; hell, it happens a lot when i first wake up before i’ve even had the chance to eat oe drink. If anyone is familiar with this, please let me know. I hate living like this.

Redness showing through all my makeup…

I’m 17F, 40mg on day 41. Its been pretty easy as my acne wasnt too severe, just constant and never full out of my skin. I’m currently purging, although its slowing down a little (thank goodness because, wow, it hurts haha!) My only inconvenience is that for some reason my concealer is not covering the redness at all? I was wondering if anyone knew how to keep redness down, or if I should just power through. I used to use The Ordinary Milky Toner for my redness before Accutane but I was worried you weren’t supposed to use stuff like that on Accutane. My current routine is the La Roche-Posay extra dry cleanser, Medicube Bubble Collegan, and Vanicream moisturizer.
