Acts of kindness by strangers I'll never forget
I travel daily using both DTC and metro. My bus ride is almost 25 minutes. I took the bus at around 6.30 am, and it was all packed. I was standing for 5 minutes, and I don't know what happened I felt a sharp pain in my head and fainted on the spot. Fortunately, I was surrounded by women and they helped me. I didn't hear or see anything for the first 5 minutes, but after they made me drink water and sprayed water on my face, I started regaining consciousness. They took my phone, unlocked it using my fingerprint, and called my parents, but both of them stay super busy at that time, so they didn't pick up. I had important work or I would have gone back. But I started gaining consciousness by then and I told them I was okay and could go now. They were stern and refused to leave me alone and was explaining me how they can't leave a girl alone in this situation and anyone can take advantage of me easily😭
Then the metro station came, this one lady held my hand, helped me get off the bus, got me mausami ka juice from near the metro station, and helped me get inside up to where the checking happens. That wasn't even her stop, but she still did it😭 I told her to take money for the juice but she said, "You're the same age as my daughter, and I wish that if my daughter is ever in this situation, someone helps her too." Then she left 😭
I was still feeling weak. I got off at Hauz Khas and had to interchange, but my legs were shaking out of weakness. A girl noticed me and asked if I needed help. I told her I wanted to interchange but was feeling very weak. She grabbed my hand, helped me walk, and helped me interchange, then waited until I got inside the magenta line, even though she didn't have to interchange😭
The day was so beautiful, I could cry.
