My ex husband wants to move 45 min away.

I have been divorced for 4.5 years and since I moved out we have been generally okay. Small issues here and there.

He moved in with his mom and I moved into an apartment we live about 5 miles apart and our school district busses them to their schools.

Hes been with his gf for 8 months and they want to move in together which im more than fine with, but he wants to move 45 min away.

I had asked him if I could move to half way in between his gfs current home 20 min away but still in the same district as his mom's house that way he could still exercise his 50/50 status.

Today he asked if I would move to the town hes moving to and I said no. I said if he still wanted 50/50 he could do Friday night Saturday Sunday and he could drop them off at 6 am Monday that way it was still even. He said no because they want alone time. Which i get.

I am still locked onto my lease for another year so I told him the earliest I could leave would be next July but I would wait until tax time so I could pay off my car and have that extra money for the rent. He didnt like that answer either.

My main issue with moving to her town is because it's further away from our son's doctors and he has multiple disabilities. The town id move to is closer to his drs & has more access for daycare and the school district I would be moving to has opportunities for me to work there and is extremely flexible.

The town she lives in doesn't have daycares like the one im in. The school district is well known for being bad with drug use and fights and i simply dont want to move there because he is insisting on it without thinking of how it would impact me.

Can you give me ideas so it would be fair for both of us?

Eta: I asked so early so I could get on waiting lists because the complex i want to move into has a 2 year wait list.

Parent of a child with seizures can I get your input?

Hi! My son is 11 years old and has had seizures for 3 years now. He's been on keppra for 3 years and every dosage adjustment has made him insanely aggressive. My sons amazing teacher would track behaviors and noted that his most recent uptick in behaviors was after he went up on his dose. And im talking stabbing hitting throwing heavy objects at people aggression.

We got him into a psychologist but she thinks its the keppra and his Dr allowed us to trial depakote.

She said its up to me, can I hear your experience with depakote vs keppra? I would love to have my non aggressive kid back but not at the price of having seizures again.

How likely is a judge to enforce doctor ordered co-sleeping?

My kiddo has seizures and lately he's had a many seizures overnight so his neurologist said we need to start co-sleeping or get a seizure monitoring device. Dad won't buy the device and I cannot afford one, so I told dad he needs to cosleep. He agreed and moved his bed into his room.

He's dating a new woman who thinks kiddo needs to be in his own room so I told dad he HAS TO get a seizure device or co-sleep. I understand why they want him in his own room, but he literally could die from SUDEP.

I don't want to file in court for the judge to think I'm insane, but his doctor was adamant about this, he is at risk of having a prolonged seizure while in bed and die. Dad doesnt believe me because "hes never met anyone who's died from epilepsy" which....🤦‍♂️

How worth it would be to preplan my sons funeral.

My son is 11 and he is disabled and has a life limiting heart defect, they dont have a timeline for when. Hes on pallative care so its not going to be soon , but once he goes into heart failure unfortunately there wont be much else they can do.

I am a single mother, I can only work part time so if he passes away I cant say I would be able to afford anything, so my mom asked me if I could use my tax refund next year to preplan and I didnt know that was something I could do, but would it be worth it?

It sickens me I have to think this and when I talk to my friends they act like im depraved but I want to give my baby a good goodbye.
