Help with unreal vs blender usage as a beginner

I’m looking to get into rendering first-person POVs, and I’m unsure where to begin. Do you think unreal or blender is a better place for beginners?

Looking to get into found footage, unsure where to begin

I’ve seen great work from both rendered footage and real footage and I’d like to get into creating some work of my own as a hobby. However, I’m split between which path to go down since I feel that using something like blender allows for more diverse creations because you can make basically anything you want, but I also feel like I’d be missing out on the fun of recording environments in person. Before I even commit to anything, I’m looking for advice anyone who works/has worked on found footage can provide in regards to what I should start with and what to keep in mind.

Thanks!
