Coworkers and romance don't mix
Steak, beans, quinoa, and a simple salad.
Well, I asked my coworker around December last year.
We dated for a couple of months and decided to become a couple on April.
It's funny to think back at the moment where I asked her to be my girlfriend. She said "I hope you're ready then, because when I say 'yes' your free trial period will be over". I chuckled and said "no problem" because I thought she meant something like I'd see her more without makeup or that we'd see each other in pajamas or fart in front of the other.
Boy was I wrong.
Just to make one thing clear: I always talk about my goals and non negotiables in a relationship at some point during the dating phase so there won't be any misunderstandings later on.
But man, after becoming a couple she did a complete 180 on me. She stopped being a sweet and caring girl and showed me her bad side which was absolutely horrible.
She got pissed at a little kid (maybe 9 years old) while we were hanging at a pool and started yelling at her and even cursed. And when I tried to stop her she shoved me away, which didn't get me very far but still felr bad due to the intention she had by doing that.
She treats other people like shit in general, started bad mouthing her closest friends and then acted like everything was alright whenever we hung out with them.
Has Karen level outbursts at customer service workers.
Worst of all, when I tried to tell her to behave better at least when we go out she brought up my ZIP code 😂.
She went: *"You aren't allowed to tell me ANYTHING about class or manners. Have you seen your ZIP code?!"*
Which took my by surprise sincr she had told me at the start that she doesn't see anyone for their money or their social class.
After that, she flirted with a guy while in front of me. Which of course I took as my cue to leave and check out emotionally but I still had to at least take her home since she was wasted at that moment.
She didn't like that and got pissed (again, by that day it was common place for her to lose control and go off on me for the smallest things). It was also apparently justifiable in her eyes to tell me that she has plenty other options besides me and that she wouldn't care if I left her. To which I said "fine".
Haven't talked to her since but she fid text me paragraphs. Didn't read it all but the first one started with "You're the worst boyfriend I've ever had" so I just blocked her and moved on.
Thank fuck we work on different floors.
Mini rant about griefing from a 2k hours player
As we all know, there is a very common strat in Ranked (and lately also in Cashout) where the best teams get to choose who goes through to the next round by helping them get the last Cashout.
This usually means getting them the second Cashbox so they can trigger Double Jeopardy, which most of the times doesn't even matter since it's the very worst team who is being helped and they usually have next to no money or are at the bottom so there's literally no risk for this team to trigger the Double Jeopardy.
Now, I understand it's a strat and that it has been part of the game for somr time now, but as of late it has made Ranked feel like a coin toss for the teams in between the top and bottom seeds.
And at the very end of a round, there's little to no hope for the 2nd and 3rd place teams to get to the next one.
This is because they'd be fighting an impossible 3v9:
-The top team aiding the bottom team from high ground or off-site, slowing or stopping anyone that tries to get to the Cashout.
- The bottom team who is already defending the Cashout on-site, it's even harder to play this since your team wull already be low HP and cooldowns from the fight with the top team
- The other team who is also desperately trying to get to the Cashout
This turns the game into a guessing game about luck on who decides to help who and less about skill expression. Additionally, the game's small player base turns ranked into an expression of nepotism by allowing players that know each other to immediately team up with each other effectively creating a team of 6 with which people without any real connections in the game can compete against.
Sure, if you were a really good player, you could maybe kill 9 players while they are all shooting at you, but this is not the case for most of the player base.
Finally, I don't want another Terminal Attack incident, but at this point in the game's evolution it is starting to feel like Head2Head should be the default Ranked game mode even if it takes away from what the developers initially intended.
I wish I wad some genius that could come up with a solution that could keep the regular Cashout Tournament setting as the ranked game mode, but I am not and the measures they've taken (like Double Jeopardy) have proved to not be enough.
Something that has never made sense about the Bow:
With other projectile weapons like the CL-40, throwing knives, and grenades, if you die after throwing or shooting them their projectiles are still in the world and have a chance to connect to the enemy.
But with the bow your arrow will de-spawn if you die while it's already flying to the enemy.
Is there a reason why this happens only with this weapon?
It's finally over. started grinding this by the end of Season 9 from level 5.
Boomers out here training for the end times
Change suggestion fpr Evasive Dash:
How good/bad would it be if we gave ED a charge meter like the one Mesh Shield has?
The idea is to make the user hold down the specialization button to "charge up" the dash and then release for the dash to activate.
A long press rewards a lengthier/faster dash while an immediate press and release grants a shorter distance dash.
**Why?**
To force the user to think more about how and when to use a dash while still having it as a limited resource.
The longer dash takes longer to charge up and uses more of the bar, a shorter dash uses less but can make it run out quicker if spammed.
This would allow the player to keep their freedom while also removing the dash spam. Which can be harder for new players to counter but would also permit a higher skill expression for more seasoned players.
Shoulder snowshoe anyone?
Little rascal would chew on every single cable in the world if it was up to her.
