Their just trying to make a living like everyone else by doing something that they love. If the argument is "but it gets people addicted" well, so does Alcohol, Tobacco, Caffeine, sugar, video games, social media, etc.
I keep coming across this myth being espoused by gun and "history" enthusiasts, but I can never find an actually source for this claim. The closets thing is this post which claims that it comes from a book written in 1899, far before the Rhodesia Bush Wars. Considering the author was a white American who settled in Rhodesia, I doubt this can be trusted as a non-biased source. It seems to me this myth is just another way of justifying apartheid. Like "haha look at these dumb Africans! This is why they need us whites to rule over them."
The crazy thing is they have the lowest prices on ammo.
