Hello I am just wondering is it possible to do a high school exchange with a prearranged family. It would be to New Zealand and I would be hosted by some friends my family has there. I would still go to school and stuff I just don’t need the agency to match me with someone. If this is possible, how does it work?

I don’t know how many times this has to be said. The roundabout is an intersection and you MUST signal just like a regular intersection. But primarily, once you are IN the roundabout YOU have the right of way and OTHERS have to yield to you. It goes for the other people too, you MUST yield to the people already in the roundabout as you don’t know if they are coming at you because most people don’t signal in the roundabout. If you do not understand how the roundabout works please watch the video I have attached here. It does not matter how polite you’re “trying to be” you do not stop in a roundabout designed to keep the flow of traffic moving. That would be like at a regular intersection and you’re going straight through a green like and you stop in the middle of the intersection to let the person turning right into your lane in. You don’t do that. The other person who IS NOT in the intersection yet waits for YOU to go by. The roundabout IS an intersection just like any other regular intersection YOU DO NOT STOP ONCE IN IT.
