Why does islam have so many unnecessary rules?

Today I saw a tiktok of a scholar talking about how sleeping on your stomach is discouraged in islam and I wondered why does this religion have so many rules like this, such as eating with your right hand, stepping out of the bathroom with your left foot, but entering your home with your right foot. What is the purpose of this and is there some historical context for it? Christianity for example, as far as I know, is not like that.

I hate being identified as a Muslim

I hate the way this religion ruins simple human things such as dating and relationships. I'm in college now so I'm still financially dependent on my parents and I can't just date a guy who is non-Muslim. My last relationship was with a non-Muslim guy and I had to hide so much that it made me exhausted and makes dating this awful experience of lying and being scared all the time. I hate the way I need to have a discussion with every guy I meet about religion and having to see if he minds that I come from a Muslim family and all this stupid crap, or seeing the disappointment on a guy's face after I introduce myself with my Muslim name. I had a guy I talked to briefly tell one of my friends that he would never date me because I'm Muslim(meaning I have a Muslim name and come from a Muslim family) and I understand because no one wants to deal with what we ex muslims deal with- having to fight with your family because you're dating someone of a different religion. Having to explain to every guy I meet that I don't identify as a Muslim is exhausting, and makes you look weird, because in my country a lot of people equate nationality with religion and I don't know any Muslims around me that are atheists/agnostics(I have never even met a guy who is an atheist let alone an ex muslim). Even after I tell people that I am agnostic many of them will warn me before eating pork or if I visit them make me a special meal without it, without even asking me if I eat pork, it just makes me sad that my name and this religion identifies me in society so much. I even had experiences where I would meet a new person and they would start talking about how they know a lot about Islam and that they have Muslim friends, like omg stfu I don't care, I don't want to be seen that way and associated with that religion. I wanted to change my name for so long, but that is not commonly done, so I feel weird about it and I feel like people would either think that I'm weird or continue calling me my real name. I just feel like I don't belong anywhere, I don't relate to Muslims, I don't relate to Christians. I have two girl friends who are atheists but they both come from Christian families and have Christian names so I can't relate to them completely, their families are more normal and they have no problem in dating and having to deal with people assuming that you must be extremely religious. I feel like this stupid religion is written on my forehead and represents me against my will.
