Can you please tell me about negatives of living in Sikkim?

Hey everyone, i'm a dude from Delhi who wants to go really big in life and move out of this city anyhow, obviously to a much better state with good living conditions. I'm currently making 90k rupees a month working from office, but my goal is to start earning over 1.5 lakh remotely so that i can settle in some other state without having to look for a job there.

I have shortlisted Sikkim, Meghalaya as 2 of the states that have possibly the best weather conditions in India. I only care about weather and clean air honestly, because most states in India are boiling hot and it will keep getting hotter in the mainland India.

Can you let me know the downsides of a life in Sikkim? If Sikkim isn't good enough, then i will simply move out of this country.

How are yall surviving in this heat?

The proper Gurgaon summer is finally here, it came late but this is what i call the proper Gurgaon hellhole heat. I have to think many times before leaving my air conditioned room. I can't even fathom what will happen to me if we have a power outage here in these conditions.

I know that a LOT of people in Delhi NCR can't afford an air conditioning and my heart goes out to all of you. The situation here rn isn't livable. Stay hydrated guys.

I'm a 30 year old ugly man who keeps catching infatuations for attractive women in corporate world

I started working at the corporate companies around 5 years ago, at every other company i befriended some really pretty women, but they never saw me as more than just a friend. I have learned this the hard way that pretty women know they can easily pull handsome men, and they're incredibly brutal when it comes to ugly men.

5 years down the line, after catching tens of infatuations on pretty women and getting curved every time, i find myself in a similar situation at my new organization, once again i have a pretty woman as my friend but she keeps talking about how she wants a tall handsome man with a fair skin. It breaks me from inside that I will forever be in friendzone of these women and they'll never consider dating me.

I'm still a virgin because despite being short and ugly, I never give attention to ugly women, the situation is such that i rather be an incel and a virgin than be with a woman whom i don't find attractive.

I posted this video here 18 days ago, and here's the current picture

I live in one of the well off areas in Delhi, with a LOT of shops in this street that usually make a lot of profit. 20 days ago they broke this street for no reason, as they always do all across Delhi, and even after 20 days this street is still in same condition. They haven't even started working on it. What's actually interesting is that this is an area which is always on priority for the government, and if something like this is happening here, you can imagine what kinda things must be going on in 90% of Delhi where people's voices are weak.

Guys...what have we just witnessed? is this real world? oh my god!!!!!

I can't believe what i just watched!! Messi just scored a freaking hat trick at almost 39 years of age, bangers after bangers in a stadium full of argentine supporters ready to live and die for Messi, his team doing everything for him on the field, putting their bodies on the line. This has definitely been one of the most special days of my life! what a fucking legend, a god among peasants.

You can never guess what trajectory a player will take

It's something that is extremely common in a sport like cricket. When KKR picked up Russell, no other IPL team bid for him, and KKR only picked him up due to injury to one of their players, at his base price. It wasn't "good scouting", they just got extremely lucky. After Russell, everyone wanted to nurture a west indian player in their team and it never really worked. Pooran with LSG, Rovman Powell with DC, and this is just the west indian players.

How many domestic players actually failed after a very promising start to their career? Their teams invested heavily on them, and they ended up ruining the entire team structure. Shaw, Venky Iyer, Avesh Khan being some of the examples.

Should we release Stubbs? Should we not? No one can really tell if he will get better from here and keep getting worse, its a luck based game.

I'm a short, ugly man, women see me as a subhuman, men see me as an easy target to bully

I work at an MNC and have to work from office, so there's no way i can quit interacting with colleagues. Women hate me and I've come to terms with it by now, but what's really worse is how men have ZERO respect for me as a colleague. They think I have lesser knowledge than them, they think I'm not suitable to be friends with as I have nothing to provide them in a friendship, the manager doesn't even want to hold conversations with me because he thinks I'm too irrelevant, so he'd rather talk to other men that are taller and muscular and better looking. I can see the anger in their eyes when they look at me, i wish i could get work from home but that is not possible right now, so i guess i'll have to continue going to a place where everyone sees me as a subhuman who doesn't deserve any respect.

How unsafe is it to drive a car in Gurgaon as a physically weak man?

Hey everyone, i never learned how to drive a car all my life because i grew up watching road rage while travelling, i have seen multiple instances of weak men getting beaten up on the road even when they're not even at fault. Have you ever been in such an incidence where you got ambushed by some men on the road that are physically stronger than you, and how do you deal with such situations?

I'm looking to finally learn how to drive a car but I'm honestly super nervous, should i start driving or not?

Mandatory quarterly street destruction in north west Delhi

I live in Pitampura, and here every 3 months they break ALL streets in our area and then repair them. This was happening under Congress govt, happened under AAP government and is continuing under BJP govt. The corruption and shamelessness in this country is absolutely insane and most of us have literally just given up on it and have accepted our fate.

Is our team not good enough? Here's my season review

DC was a dark horse as per many experts and fans before the season started, and after the first 5 matches we were actually looking like a top 4 team, winning 3 and losing a match where Miller bottled 2 in 2 balls. I will mention some of the reasons here behind the loss:

  1. Awful use of Ashutosh Sharma. He wasn't even played for the initial few matches, and even when he came in, they kept sending Stubbs above Miller and Ashutosh repeatedly which was devoid of any logic. An out of form player like Stubbs shouldn't have been given more than 5-6 chances, but they played Stubbs and even EXCLUDED Miller from the team for a few matches for him.

  2. Starc and Ngidi absence for a few matches. Starc came in after around 6 matches and Ngidi was injured for 3-4 matches, and it literally cost us 2-3 matches very easily.

  3. An england opener took his name out of IPL after we picked him up, which also ruined the combination as Nissanka isn't as reliable or classy.

  4. Kuldeep Yadav and Axar losing all kind of form is honestly the one BIGGEST reason why we failed to make it this season. They are the reason why we were having success for the last few seasons, we simply couldn't be effective in middle overs without these 2.

Do i think there's a need to add new players to this team next season and do some stupid player swap? NO. This team is solid. There's no need to make any changes. Stubbs should be given one last chance and if he doesn't perform next season, he has to go as well. But we should keep him for one more season.

Rishabh Pant links? I swear to god, if that fraud comes back into this team in any shape or form, I will never watch DC matches again. Pant simply hasn't performed since 2017, you don't give chances to a player who has been failing to perform in this format everywhere for over 9 years.

Supporting DC feels like a mid tier premier league club fan

In the european leagues, there are just 3 or 4 clubs that win the trophy every year, but do the fans of the other 16 teams stop supporting their team? When was the last time clubs like Brighton, Everton, Fulham won the premier league? And yet the people that have been supporting them from the beginning still support their team. They lose most of the times, they play dirty haramball, yet their fans don't stop supporting their team.

However, DC has some of the worst fans in IPL. First off, most of our city is full of migrants from other states who support the teams where they come from instead of where they're LIVING. Its annoying when I'm in the office and mostly everyone is against DC despite living in Delhi.

I was born in Delhi, a huge cricket fan, supporting this franchise since IPL was launched, been through heartbreaks over and over again, and yet i would never support any other IPL team because I could never be emotionally connected to them. Sadly, even a lot of delhiites are RCB, CSK or MI fans because they're dirty glory hunters. And nothing pisses me off more than these people.

The whole point of this post is, I'm proud of supporting DC even though we have never won anything, IPL comes to an end for me when DC is knocked out. And there's nothing wrong with supporting the team that represents where you live. Let's keep supporting our team irrespective of how ass we are.

Recommendations for good western vegetarian dishes?

A few months ago I met a friend from England, they took me to Fig where they ordered Risotto for me. Before that I had never eaten Risotto in my life and kinda looked down on western dishes, because i believed they were "bland" and not comparable to indian food without even ever tasting them. I absolutely loved Risotto there and that made me realise, the food outside india is perhaps great as well.

A week ago I had Risotto once again at the Pacific mall and once again I really loved the way it tasted. I wanna try more western dishes now. Can you recommend me some more dishes that are just as good or maybe better than Risotto?
