I am asking for a friend who ordered an item off eBay for someone’s birthday. The item was allegedly coming from abroad and was listed in $, the person was happy to pay extra postage but the item arrived super fast within 2 days with Evri. The package had no international labels or information on it and had a single Evri label from UK address. They have spoken to the seller who has tried to deny this and said they said this item is shipped from the UK but initially has to be imported, this cost should be added onto the listing price rather than postage surely? So the matter of the fact is my friend has been overcharged for shipping.

EBay support have been no use and keep telling them to wait several business days now it’s being investigated and have to wait a further 5-7 days. I don’t understand why it even needs investigating the postage was clearly overcharged as the item was small and light only packaged in a plastic bag, the postage would have only cost around £3 ish and the actual postage was about 3 times that.

Any thoughts on what could do next? Or just wait it out again? EBay support on the phone and live chat seem to have differing conversations some can see transcripts, some can’t, some say a refund has been processed others can’t see anything.

I moved into a new house a few years ago Virgin was already direct into the property so decided to stay with them. However I noticed recently in bad winds where there is a fence down the side of our house our Virgin cable comes out the back of our house and goes along the fence but I assume the previous owners did this, but the cable is attached to the fence directly, clipped on but als annoyingly it goes between some of the slats and fence posts, without getting the fence removed which isn’t my priority yet, is it possible to get someone at Virgin to come out and replace the cable that goes out to the street and cut the one that is attached to the fence?

How would I go about asking for this service, and would it cost me? Because it was like this from the previous owners how would I prove that? I assume really the cable would have to be put under ground as there is no where else it could be routed too.

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

I've been a customer with Virgin Media for 4 years now and my contract has come up for renewal, like most people I am looking for the best deal.

I currently have

• Gig1 Fibre Broadband
• Mega TV
• Home Phone

I ultimately don't need/want a home phone/landline option as I don't use it anyways, and would happily downgrade the TV, it's mainly the Gig1 I wan't to keep as is.

I've spoken to retentions tonight and the best they could offer is £61 I'm currently paying £66 and my out of contract price is £95, any ideas on my best options or price I could get, rententions didn't seem like they wanted to give me much of a deal even though I kept pushing.

I am also considering having x2 Virgin Stream Boxes, can these be added on if I have a main TV Box? I'm aware they are £10pm each, but I'm currently paying for x2 Sky Streams at £45+ so it would reduce that bill at least.

I'd appreciate any help/advice.

I heard that on Siriusly Sinatra on SiriusXM a couple of weeks ago there was a live broadcast of several performances at Sinatra Bar & Lounge to celebrate its 3rd Anniversary, I'm from the UK but wondered if I could listen to this or whether it is available anywhere on any kind of catch-up?
