The docs no one seems to talk about

I recently watched Don't Pick Up the Phone on Netflix. ChatGPT recommended it to me. I think I may have seen it recommended once on any post. I don't understand why! I had never heard of this story and I worked in radio during the time it was coming out in the news so I should have. Everyone knows the story of the lady with the McDonald's hot coffee but not THIS?!

Also rarely see Escaping TwinFlames or Dancing for the Devil mentioned anywhere. (Both on Netflix)

Which documentaries have you watched but can't believe no one seems to talk about? Where can you watch them? I'd love it if you'd tell a little more than just the name but not give any spoilers. What genre, etc...

Songs that feel like rain

I just moved to a beautiful country where it doesn't rain very often until winter and I know I'll miss rainy days. Especially in this heat.

I want to make a playlist that "feels" like a rainy day (if that makes any sense).

Songs about rain, with rain in the title are welcome but not necessarily limited just those songs. I'm looking for a certain feeling of a peaceful, rainy day.

Whatcha got for me, reddit?

More docs like Tiger King and The Kings of Tupelo??

I've been watching a ton of documentaries. After watching cult documentaries followed by Maternal Instincts and The Perfect Neighbor, I needed something not so heavy.

So I finally watched Tiger King and Kings of Tupelo and these are the reset my soul needed. 😂😂

Are there any other docs similar to these two? Not necessarily topic wise but in just the utter "what the heck am I watching?"-ness of TK and KoT

They don't necessarily have to be on Netflix

Slow burn TV shows that eventually made you a fan

What TV shows did you have to force yourself to get through the first several episodes of or even the entire first season before you could keep watching and eventually became hooked.

For me The Office and Parks & Recreation took multiple tries to get into and often have to tell people "just get past the first season and I promise you'll love it"

What other shows were like this for you?

Obsessed with psychological documentaries

I have been on a true crime/cult/catfish/etc documentary kick lately. Sometimes murder but more psychological stuff. I like to watch them to understand what makes people tick. I don't automatically assume someone is the villain and someone is the victim. Here's what I've already seen (that I can remember anyway)...

*Unknown Number - that twist got me!

*Sweet Bobby - surprised me a bit more than most catfish stories

*The Perfect Neighbor

*Escaping Twin Flames

*Orgasm Inc

*Keep Sweet & Trust Me

*The Crash

*Abducted in Plain sight

*Fyre

*Our Father

*The Tinder Swindler

*Wild Wild County - this story was interesting but the way it was told was too slow and kinda boring

*Should I Marry a Murderer

*What Did Jennifer Do

Edited to add... *Bad Influence *The Most Hated Man on the Internet *Apple Cider Vinegar - not a doc I know but the story was interesting. Is there an actual doc on this situation? *The Program *Ashley Madison *Bad Surgeon *Dirty Pop *Vatican Girl

That said, I'm looking for recommendations. Bonus points if there's a twist you don't see coming! And no spoilers please

Or if you just want to talk about any of the ones I listed, that's welcome too. 😊😊
