Julie’s Pregnancy: Susan

Susan is so SELFISH once again! Lying to that couple who was so happy to have their own child about Julie’s “mental problems”. Gaslighting Lynette by saying she wants to give their “sweet little baby” to strangers. Trying to manipulate Julie by saying “you can’t understand until you have a daughter”… the difference here is Susan was married to Karl and wanted to have a baby - and she wanted to have MJ with Mike too… Julie is in a completely different situation and should be able to make her own decision here!! I don’t even like Mike but he handled that whole situation with way more compassion for Julie and disdain for Susan’s behavior.

This whole plot line is so annoying to me and honestly Susan is so dumb and annoying during S8 so far.

Ughhhhhh!

Thoughts: Festival hours, cancelled sets, refunds, weather risks

Hey everyone. Like many of you, I’ve been refreshing this subreddit all morning waiting for updates. This definitely isn’t how any of us wanted Day 3 to start.

**I’m not affiliated with Lollapalooza…**just a longtime attendee of this and other festivals who’s been through weather delays before. Obviously none of us know exactly what the organizers are going to do, but I wanted to share what I think are the most realistic expectations based on how festivals typically operate.

1. Do not expect the festival to extend hours later into the night.
Festivals involve city permits, curfews, police and security staffing, stage crews, vendors, transportation, insurance, and countless other logistical considerations that are coordinated months (sometimes years) in advance. Extending operating hours is much more complicated than simply letting artists play later.

2. If gates don’t open until 3 this afternoon, it’s likely the earliest scheduled sets will be canceled.
There’s not enough room to fit every missed performance into the remaining schedule. Typically artists scheduled closer to reopening could see slight time adjustments, but I wouldn’t expect every canceled set to be made up. If an artist’s schedule and crew allow it, some performers may pivot to smaller venues around Chicago. It’s not guaranteed, but it’s happened before and is worth watching social media throughout the day for updates.

  1. There will be no refunds or exchanges. If you look at the terms and conditions associated with the purchase of your wristband this is stated.

Please remember… Festival coordinators are doing this out of concern for you as well as vendors, police/security, and of course the performers and their crew. There is a ton of liability and risk involved in throwing these types of events in the first place and festival coordinators must manage and mitigate risk by doing what is best for everyone’s safety, even if that means canceling your must-see artist. Nobody wants to go to Lolla in a thunderstorm and attend a set where the stage is struck by lightning and someone gets hurt or killed. They also wouldn’t want a festival full of people having to rush to evacuate during a weather event.

I know this is a huge disappointment, especially if today was the day you were most excited about or you’re only attending Saturday. I’m disappointed too. Hopefully this helps set realistic expectations while we wait for official updates. In the meantime, keep an eye on the Lolla app and official channels, enjoy some of what Chicago has to offer if you’re nearby, and hopefully we’ll all be back in Grant Park later today.

If you have any questions, feel free to drop them below - but as a reminder, I’m only answering based on my own personal understanding and experiences.

Poopoopalooza… not again 😭

We only just ended day one and already… I saw girl pulling her shorts to the side and poop on the ground in the front of the Bud Light stage while everyone was waiting for John Summit to start... WTAF… Who are you people? Where do you come from where that is normal!?

Genuinely what is the thought process… I have so many questions - and yet I really don’t wanna know!!!!

The amount of people who probably have some human poop on their shoes now and tracking it on the subways, Ubers, hotels, after shows… Lordddddd(e)

PLEASE don’t poop in the crowd / on the ground in general!!! Didn’t realize this needed to be said!!!!!!!
