So I bought a Macbook Air M1 off Yahoo! フリマ. It was from a seller with 33 reviews, of which 32 were positive, and they had mostly Apples stuff listed for sale, and already sold.
The MBA was listed as in good working condition with specifically the screen, keyboard, and mousepad as 問題なし.
They seller was very slow on communication and was even a day late on shipping the item but it arrived eventually.
The computer looked good physically and gave the loud Apple chime when I opened it. On the Activation screen I opened the Wifi network input and started testing the keyboard.
I vertical column of keys don't work; the 8, I, K, M, <, and also the @ key.
I went back to message the seller and noticed all their listing, current and past SOLD listings are now missing.
I still messaged them and they answered about a day later that they would accept the return if I payed shipping. I told them the item was not in the condition as listed so I will ask Yahoo management about shipping payment.
That is where I am now, and their account sales are still empty.
Does anyone know what it means when a sellers items disappear?
Has anyone had experience with someone trying to get the buyer to pay the return shipping even though the item was clearly not as advertised?
I am waiting for Yahoo to reply but was just curious if anyone has had similar experiences?
Note. I am at 39 reviews and have a gold checkmark.
UPDATE: The seller contact me with a short and rather blunt (for Japanese) reply saying to send it back via COD. and I quote; "もう着払いでいいので返品してください。" Feels to me they just want me to send it back so they can wait out the automatic payout so they can get the money and the laptop back. Still waiting to hear from Yahoo.
Hello, has anyone had experience getting their iphone battery serviced in Japan by Apple after they have had an aftermarket battery replacement?
I bought a second hand iPhone 12 Pro for pretty cheap but it clearly has an aftermarket battery in it. It seems to hold a charge pretty well but I figure I will eventually have to get it serviced and have heard of Apple Stores in the US refusing to work on a phone that has aftermarket parts.
I would be mailing it to Apple btw since the closest Apple Store is like a four hour drive away.
Hello, I just purchased a used iPhone 12 Pro off a flea market site here in Japan. I know the battery is most likely not genuine but there is no message saying so in the Battery Health area on the phone. The seller has the following posted on the page;
>
I hooked it up to my Mini and checked it with Coconutbattery and this is the info;
The phone seems to charge okay and has been holding a charge for a few hours now.
I want to know if there is a way to see the real health of the battery, or is what coconut showing the real health?
The health shows 100% in the phone but I read that if they used a flex-on tag or something then it will always show 100% even if the true health is lower.
I don't really mind if the health is always listed as 100% in the OS's useless battery info as long as there is another way to see the true health. Hopefully it isn't actually at 1,363 cycles and there is a new battery in the phone. Could coconutbattery be reading the BMC info from the old battery?
Thank you for any insight!
Hello, I have Teams on a Windows tablet PC and since yesterday it will not launch.
I have tried Reset and Repair with no luck. I tried uninstalling it, rebooting and re-installing with no luck.
Today I tried the Windows Reset option and it still won't launch!
I have also did the cache delete that is commonly suggested on google searches.
The tablet is on Windows 11 Education 26200.8390.
