A 6x4.5 diptych (120 GCFN, Fortepan 400 expired in 2004)

These are two separate 6x4.5 frames scanned as a single 6x9 diptych, and I think the way they blend together is super cool!

Pentax Auto 110 repair success!

Sharing in case someone else is experiencing the same problem and feels like tinkering. My new to me Pentax 110 worked fine for the first roll, but then it stopped advancing the film correctly, it would take like 10 strokes of the lever to move to the next frame, and then it wouldn’t stop. While advancing the shutter would also just go off by itself randomly.

Opened the bottom plate (it’s just 3 screws) and cleaned the yellow area (film advance gears) and green area (indexing pin mechanism) with a cotton bud and a dab of lighter fluid, exercised them several times to make sure they were doing what they were supposed to, and my camera works properly again! It’s possible I will have to oil these mechanisms in the future, but the fewer fluids in my camera the better right now.

Hope this helps someone out there, and happy shooting!

Minolta-16 P, film expired in 1975

Bonus points for something going wrong during development I think, plus out of focus scans!

Gifted camera, expired chain store film [Vivitar v2000, 50mm f/1.9, Hema Super SR 200]

Film was discontinued somewhere in the 2000s, came to me without a box so no idea when it expired. Exposed most of the roll at 100 which ended up looking the best, bracketed some shots between 25-200 and all was acceptable. If you like magenta, anyway.

A very scratched Industar-22 (Zorki 4, Lucky SHD400)

Film also very scratched, mistakes were made, but I dig the end result

Overlap | Harman Phoenix II 200

Camera didn’t advance properly and overlapped two frames, but at least I got a cool accidental double exposure
