Saya mau nyampaikan aja pengamatan saya dan penilaian saya, ini mungkin bias karena terkait kerja di negeri (ASN) tapi ini sepertinya akan relate juga untuk yang kerja di BUMN atau swasta manapun, apalagi di jaman krisis saat ini.

Saya sudah menyimpulkan di usia saya yang mid-30 ini, saya, orang yang sebenarnya bisa banyak hal, lumayan tau IT dan bisa problem solving urusan kantor, tidak akan bisa karirnya moncer naik jabatan apalagi jadi komisaris atau JPT atau apalah, apalagi jadi kaya raya kalau memang gak dari sononya sudah kaya. Masalah skill relatif silahkan yang tau saya nilai sendiri, tapi dari segi nilai saya orangnya "lurus" gak bisa "dibelokkin" terutama dari sisi integrity, bicara apa adanya dan tidak berusaha menjaga "image" menjadi hanya sekedar superficial/nampak di permukaan. I cant be superficial, my gen and brain just wont allow it without breaking any sweat and looks nervous.

Basicaly I dont have skill that can be look good for someone on upper management to raise the corporate ladder: menjilat / sugarcoating / hiding truth / entertain for communication, and mark-up / finding dana taktis / collecting money for ceremonial program. ini sih gak cuman masalah menyenggol perbuatan KKN aja ya, tapi yang purely buat nyenengin bos / bisa entertain / bisa ngasi fasilitas lain lain.

Diperparah dengan politik "patronisasi" yang melejit akhir akhir ini di kepemimpinan negara. Harapan saya pupus sudah. Dulu jaman Jokowi masih bisa lah kita lihat pegawai yang naik karena pure skill (walaupun tetep harus bisa dll dll seperti yang saya sebut tapi at least skill kepake buat meningkatkan image), tapi sekarang basically dead. Hence you see the "Bismillah Komisaris" meme exists, it is actually the sympton of bigger problem: meritocracy is dead.

So, rather than aiming to become rich later, I will just aiming to become a monk/bhiksu/pendeta/ustad/philosopher/whatever. Sakit sekali memang di dunia korporasi ini kalau skill hanya bagian dari sekian, dan melihat banyak sekali incompetent folks who dont know how to talk and do shit but can climb ladder easily. In Javanese/Sanskrit philosophy we are actually in "kaliyuga", the weird time where doing bad thing makes you looks good but doing good things does not mean you will achieve good ending.

Ini juga gue heran, skill gini ini emang "Trait survivorship" kah? Saya paham banyak orang yang gak punya apa apa basically have to sell their soul to get money, someone like scammer / pencuri who basically will dead if can't be lying doing shady stuff correctly. Apa karena pembawaan saya dari kecil yang lurus, aman walaupun gak punya apa apa tapi hidup sejahtera biasa biasa saja yang menyebabkan saya akan biasa biasa saja terus?

Edit: many of you seems to focus on me "being rich" as my own goal. I dont have any of that. I am just saying that going up the ladder is impossible for me. Being rich is just secondary benefit if you can achieve that, not the goal.

Remember a whole section in Gramedia for book about Komputer, some with CD/freebies from Elex Media, ANDI, etc. Also magazine section and lopor koran with many tech related magazine like PCMedia/Chip/Infolinux/Infokomputer and some weekly/bi-weekly tabloid. Infolinux magazine used to give you dual layer DVD with new distro to cater to your distro-hopping hobbies. Man I really miss that era, even with shitty internet back then. I started collecting many PDF magazine I found on internet and most of them already become lost media. Remember back then PCMedia tend to release its PDF for previous year issues for you to enjoy. Not just tech, any print media back then is colorful, I really like reading Buku Pintar or some very high-quality Atlas map book that only avaible back then. Gramedia used to be 80% book 20% other stuff but nowadays more like 50:50.

Nowadays, world feel dulls. Everything is in the Internet, Youtube video / random article / clickbaity stuff. Print Media dead but I miss it. Man I feel that the paradox of informational age: the more you exposed or the easier you get information, the less you enjoy them. OMG Does anyone remember the smell of the glossy paper on CHIP magazine and how colorful it was.

Please share some link / files of your PDF collection so far. I need to cope this.

My brain got broken seeing that picture. The plate XY being white, the road that does not exist, road signage to indicate road name does not work like that. Some plate numbers looks like broken glyphs.

This is one case where AI is bad for society that I hate it. The news is actually legit but the photo generated is not. Is this case where they are afraid to use someone else post for copyright and just straight out AI generate the thing.

My take: The proximity with TPA Suwung and some conspiracy that TPA Suwung closed because of this mall creating Bali Trash crisis already fueled the sentiment among local.

Additional Info: There is new junction from By Pass Ngurah Rai to Serangan opened (previously it had separator where you need to u-turn if you want to go to Serangan from Kuta) which I suspect might also create another traffic chaos in already congested Pesanggaran-Pemelisan corridor.

TLDR: Penulis artikel mengadvokasi untuk tidak menggunakan "AI Agent" coding untuk melakukan sekedar code generation, dan menggunakannya sebagai sarana "dokumentasi interaktif" alih alih "mengedit source code". Alasan: AI menjadi sumber banyak developer kehilangan friksi belajar, dimana pengalaman friksi ini penting agar bisa memahami lebih baik dan meningkatkan kemampuan coding agar better with or without AI.

Kalau set Bahasa Indonesia, font yang ada cuman Roboto. Thats it.

Heran dah padahal sama-sama pakai aksara latin, apakah Oppo gak ngerti kalau Bahasa Indonesia itu pakai font yang sama dengan English atau mereka mikir Indonesia pakai font khusus aksara Jawa kah?

Anyone know how to get over this quirks without involving third party font apps?

Never seen argument about AI being "mediocres revenge for talented peoples" before. Interesting point.

TLDR: Penulis berpendapat bahwa AI itu bukan layer abstraksi seperti sebelum sebelumnya. AI membuat Senior Programmer menjadi atropi dan brainfog, membuat Junior Programmer gak ngerti cara debug. Ketergantungan vendor lock in ketika Claude kolaps gak bisa ngoding, dan yang terpenting: gak ada yang tau pasti berapa biaya token untuk menghasilkan sesuatu.

What I am advocating for, though, is leveraging LLMs and coding agents as secondary processes. A way that doesn't sacrifice the individual's skills at the altar of productivity. You can flip the script and lean on them to brainstorm the planning parts of the process while staying actively engaged throughout implementation, delegating to them on an as-needed basis. You can leverage the productivity gains, and mitigate the comprehension debt.
