Personally I do think it's the greatest way to represent Yuta's monster arc since him failing is perfectly done for his characterization and how it explains how his strength differs from Gojo and Sukuna.

Keep in mind that Rika was leeching off Yuta for years and the only reason she's stronger is because of Yuta cursing her. She's not related to any jujutsu family and all of her powers come from Yuta who is related to Michizane Sugawara and Gojo.
Rika is the one who is relying on Yuta and she's carried by Yuta, she's nothing without him, making her a bum. And yet there are people slandering Yuta for this when the opposite is true. Saying Yuta relies on Rika is the same thing as saying "Maki is carried by Toji and leeches off Toji".

People slandered Hakari for pillow hands and later that was reused once Naoya got animated. People slander Yuta for bush camping but ignore Maki, Toji, Kenjaku who all did the same.
