why does valve keep nerfing wraith king?! its already a big stinking pile of SHEET!

https://liquipedia.net/dota2/Wraith_King/Changelogs

  1. any half decent player can dance around his summon skeletons, so its garbo, now it DOESN'T EVEN ATTACK WHO YOU STUN!
  2. can no longer refresh ultimate while in wraith form.. bro this was one of the few ways WK can fight late game hypercarries, now wraith form = sure dead, LAMEST. CHANGE. EVER!
  3. of course they kept the GARBO skeletons as a basic skill, instead of the decent spectral blade which is now 1400 GOLD!!! now i can't even trade hits with offlaners. WTH VALVE?!

LET'S JUST LOOK AT THIS HERO'S 2026 TIER 1 PERFORMANCE SHALL WE?!

blast slam 6 - unpicked and unbanned

dream league 28 - unpicked

pgl wallachia 7 - unpicked and unbanned

esl one birmingham - 1 win, 2 losses, the win was by ti winning falcons vs virtous pro

pgl wallachia 8 - 0 wins, 1 loss, used by ti champ falcons

dream league 29 so far - unpicked and unbanned

so this hero was picked a grand total of 4 times with 25% win rate... TWENTY FIVE! and THEY. KEEP. NERFING. HORRIBLE PERFORMANCE!

IDC if dotabuff says its 55% win rate, that is just low mmr bros who honestly need to get good.

IGNORED for the most part, and when it gets picked its ABSOLUTE GARBO! but yes valve please nerf one of your most iconic hero some more. 😵

Back To Basics Ruleset "Challenge" (untested)

hello, i have beaten the game solo no consumables multiple times, and i miss playing a team. so i thought of some rules that may add challenge and fun for a 4 man team play. i haven't tried it yet, but i think it looks good.

have less survivability rules

  1. no consumables (healing potions, elixirs, scrolls, arrows, bombs)

  2. no shields

  3. no shield spells (protect your caster folks)

  4. no haste

(so thats a total of 9 less potential AC)

deal less damage rules

1 only ONE special/unique equipment per character, everything else must be generic +1 gear

  1. no wet double damage

  2. no tavern brawler/ great weapon master/ sharpshooter

4 no tadpoles

team composition rules

1 no repeat classes

2 two class MAX multiclass (rule one also applies here, for example 1 of your character multiclasses into fighter, all of the remaining party members cannot multiclass into fighter as well.)

2.1 your first 5 levels must be pure (one class only), no respec.

3 one aoe caster per team, all other members must do target select offense. ( this is to avoid a party of 4 different classes all casting aoe fireballs that might trivialize the game.

4 (optional) follow the classic team composition of melee + ranged + aoe offense + pacifist life cleric healer (honestly you'll probably need one with all the bonus AC restrictions). team must have a theme, for example radiant team, (aoe)light cleric, paladin, open hand monk. NOTE: optional pacifist life cleric ignores the first team composition rule, so two clerics in this example)

4.1 try fighting without the optional life cleric first as a trio, then reload and retry with cleric if you lose combat. (custom honor ruleset is already here after all for reloading purposes.)

note: some of these rules might seem limiting, but honestly i think veterans and sweaty gamers will find these rules quite refreshing.

possible dead end -
what if the rules gets your team stuck on a boss like myrkul? if this happens, i think the first rule the player should adjust is the 1 special equipment per character, make it two per, and so on.

this dude had some main character energy

if only he had a little more bravery, and a little less pessimism.

he'd be the confident meathead protag archetype with unbreakble will. "those gobs caught us by surprise and killed half my crew, were gonna go to blighted village and hit them back, are you in or out zevlor?" -aradin

he'd goad rolan and zevlor to join, then convince nettie and rath to help him save halsin (and liam). of course some of them will die, and others may blame him, but he'll shoulder it, cause he's unbreakable. *cue sad flashback.

well, there's my short fan fiction.

i just got my first oled monitor a week ago (qd oled), asus xg27aqdmes and black does indeed look black. 🤑⬛🖤

i read its recommended to use the monitor in a dark room. i tried it and it does indeed look better, but after 10 minutes i turned on the lights again for eye comfort.

should i just game with the lights on or is there a good alternative? like having a light source at the back of the monitor, not sure what those are called, is that a good option for eye comfort?

i went with qd oled instead of woled cause google said it was better in a bunch of things.
