What the Hell is Heavy Metal 2000?

Heavy Metal 2000 is a Canadian adult animated lackluster sequel to Heavy Metal (1981) that centers around a warrior named Julie who lost her home to the tyrannical Tyler after discovering a crystal that could grant him immortality, she has now made it her mission to put a stop to his quest.

The film was adapted from the story The Melting Pot from the Heavy Metal magazine.

From questionable moments, terrible animation and genuinely a letdown compared to the original, this definitely seems worthy of a review from Saber.

What are two characters that never met that you wish had interacted or two characters that interacted more but hadn't?

And no easy pickings like "Potter and Henry" or "Winchester and Frank" or "Trapper and BJ" I want more creative ones.

Like Rizzo and Flagg for example (Yes I edited this image, WITHOUT THE USE OF AI, it's a still from That Darn Kid with Flagg in Hawkeye's place) tbh idk if Rizzo would drive Flagg up a wall due to his laziness and stupidity from him or would Rizzo willingly become Flagg's accomplice in getting dirt on everybody in the camp due to easily being intimidated by Flagg, it'd be an interesting episode seeing them interact with each other for sure though.

I honestly wish we got more of Sidney and Father Mulcahy, both seem such calm and compassionate figures at the camp.

If You Believe (1999)

This American made-for-tv movie that aired on the Lifetime network and was a Spring Creek Production in association with Hearst Entertainment.

It was written by Anthea Sylbert and Richard Romanus, directed by Alan Metzger and produced by Paula Weinstein, Anthea Sylbert and Richard Romanus.

It starred Ally Walker, Hayden Panettiere and Tom Amandes, Richard Romanus also appeared in at as the main character's overbearing boss named Walter (sadly his last name is not White) but he's not important.

The movie takes place around Christmas and centers around a Scrooge-like woman, who was once a successful book editor now in danger of losing her job and has given up on happiness and become bitter and spiteful towards everyone around her.

It isn't until she gets into an argument with her brother after telling his daughter that Santa isn't real that her life turns around, after leaving in a huff she accidentally bangs her head and awakes to find a 7-year-old version of herself following her around (who only she can see) that will not leave until she's happy again.

She helps the woman rediscover her childlike wonder, reinvigorate her passion for her job and pushes her to pursue a romantic relationship with a guy that she fancies.

Considering the whole Christmas in July craze, I thought it nice to mention this movie since it's one of the rare Lifetime movies that doesn't center around a city girl forced to move to the country and get humbled by a working-class man to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas or some shit.

Do you think Rizzo got off a little easy after his little stunt he pulled on BJ in the episode As Time Goes By?

Look before I have a bunch of people coming at me with pitchforks saying that I'm reading too much into this episode, hear me out.

I am not saying that BJ and Winchester should've pulled a Randal Weems from Recess and snitched on Rizzo to Potter or have him burned at the stake like some whack jobs want Rizzo to be (seriously ya'll need to calm down) but I find it ironic that BJ's prank/revenge was pretty tame this episode.

Considering how nasty later seasons BJ can get when pulling pranks on people (look at the Joker is Wild for reference) I'm kinda surprised the only thing BJ did to "humiliate" Rizzo was having Winchester trick him into giving the grenade up.

Especially since BJ had been punished for less in the one episode when he tricked Hawkeye and Winchester into beefing with each other, when he was carried out in his bunk to the nurse's tent completely naked, photographed when leaving the tent and then had his photos put up on the board for all to see.

And before everybody comes to Rizzo's defense saying that he had every right to get back at BJ since "BJ was a big Ol' Meanie to him for tricking him into thinking he got caught sleeping on the job by a higher-ranking officer earlier in the episode" I'd actually argue that was pretty tame of BJ, he could've done a whole lot worse (yet again look at the two episodes referenced above)

Rizzo however took it too far when his response to this was to instill the fear into BJ that he's going to wipe him off the face of the Earth, while we the audience knew it was a dud, BJ did not until Rizzo told him after tricking him into streaking to avoid getting decimated by the grenade (I'd argue that's when BJ should've realized it was a prank considering he didn't see it drop and if it had he wouldn't have had any time to run since both him and Rizzo would've been blown sky high and would've been seen as murder-suicide in BJ's eyes since he was under the impression the grenade was real)

Ngl but that's kinda crazy to respond to a relatively harmless prank with "I'm going to end you" that's like someone setting up a whoopy cushion on a guy's seat then the guy responds by lighting that person's house on fire.

Rizzo was really on some Jack Doherty level ish, he's lucky that BJ didn't do anything more heinous than what he did, especially considering Rizzo humiliated BJ by making him unintentionally streak for all the staff to see.

It just surprises me that when BJ has a justified opportunity to go hog wild with his prank/revenge the worst thing he does to the minuscule menace is to essentially pacify him.

But all in all, let me hear your thoughts, did you think Rizzo got his just desserts or do you think he should've had a much more humiliating punishment?

If the episode "Dreams" had been made in the earlier seasons what would Trapper, Frank, Henry and Radar's dreams been about?

Not long ago I asked you guys on what "dreams" the side characters would have had if the episode Dreams focused on them.

Now I'm asking you guys on what the four main characters that had left the show (by the time the episode came out) would have dreamt about, how their desires would've been like twisted into horrors, had the episode came out while they were all still present.

I know the episode probably wouldn't have worked in early M*A*S*H due to the earlier seasons being zanier and wackier in humor compared to the more somber tone of the later seasons but I still want to hear everyone's hypotheticals.
