I’m building a few extensions for Studio One
I’m working on 3 “extension” projects for Studio One, and I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in being a part of the development/testing.
- Building an SDK from the extension creation
- Expanding functionality of the FP8/FP16 controllers so that faders can be used for ANY automation lane, while retaining native functionality (this one I have stopped working on as it’s at a point where I’m happy with it)
- Adding Show Page functionality to the Song Page
The Show Page is currently only catered to two types of shows: Keyboard players for live instrument switching, or artists that ONLY need playback tracks. Adding functionality so that arrangement sections can be easily re-ordered, and loop/continue/stop at end would bridge show and song pages and open up the usefulness of the show page for any other artist. MIDI cc, MIDI tracks, videos, custom metronomes, etc would all be able to be used while retaining show page functionality.
These projects are the result of years of frustration with presonus/fender and their lack of ability to implement much requested features after years and years, so I’m going to be doing them regardless of whether it’s just for myself or not. Everything will be open source.
