concerta working??

Hi everyone, I got diagnosed with ADHD- inattentive- this year as a 24 year old with bipolar 1. (I had a psych evaluation and both are present but I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 when I was 19.) I already take 150mg Lamictal, and 112.5 mg of effexor. My psychiatrist decided to put me on concerta 18mg. First few days I felt great and motivated, aside from some stiffness in my neck. It didn’t feel like mania, just… ease. Thereafter it seems like I still have to convince and bargain with myself to do ANYTHING, I even have to force myself to make lunch for my 2 year old. So a week or so ago my psychiatrist decided raised the dose to 27mg. I have noticed literally no difference except I crash at 4pm instead of 2pm… I’m a mom so my sleep isn’t great, average about 6 hours per night. Is this medication just not right for me or has anyone experienced this and done better with a higher dose? I just want to be able to be a present mother and take care of our home and I felt like those first few days were a new chapter for me and then it just stopped working…

Tips on how to speed up my sets?

these are sets i’ve done for 2 of my coworkers. the first one took 5 hours and the second took 6.5 hrs. I find myself having to wipe their nails over and over over because lint or dust ALWAYS get stuck in the inhibition layer or they touch the art to another finger before curing and i have to redo it/ clean it off their skin, which leads me to flash cure every layer of every finger… which can take so much extra time. my application and prep takes about 30mins-1 hour depending on the state of their natural nails/cuticles and based on the length of the extension as I add a rubber base on top of super long sets like the first one so that adds at least 10-15 mins. am i being too much of a perfectionist about the artwork? Is 3-5 hours for this art make sense without including the prep and application?

feeling discouraged

Hey all, I have been doing my own nails for nearly 2 years and constantly have people, even strangers, tell me I should be doing it at least as side hustle (i do really intricate art) I’ve been looking at nail tech school for over a year and I just don’t know how I’d ever afford it. I have a toddler that I am home alone with until 4:30pm M-F when my husband gets home. The school nearest to me offers night classes(this is the only one that offers night classes) spanning over a 6 months period… it would be $813/month for 7 months unless I make a down payment. Totally tuition is $5,691. My question is… how do you afford this? Did anyone receive grants?

Some pics of my nails for fun

backrooms at work

i was scrolling on facebook reels and i saw this video of someone walking through a parking garage and filming the backrooms esque vibes. i swear this hallway herell looks exactly like where i go when im at work or a store in mall world. one room has a security camera, i think the door to the left, the door straight ahead leads to the bathrooms or sometimes a long dark hallway, one of the doors is an office, sometimes it’ll lead to a huge office with a few desks for higher ups, sometimes it’ll lead to a dental office which i also allegedly work at. sometimes it’ll lead to a thrift store… anyone been to this layout?

Azelaic acid serum without niacinimide?

hi all! i just recently found out that the azelaic acid i’ve been using has a bit of niacinimide in it (Anua) so i was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on their favorite azelaic acid serum? My skin has been super reactive since i’ve been sick with allergies and i was wondering why my azelaic acid wasn’t calming down my breakouts at all, welp that’s probably why

ETA: apparently my new barrier cream (purito panthenol cream) has niacinimide in it too!!! that would explain the problem, too much niacinimide all together, just picked up the anua 3 ceramide barrier cream so hopefully that’ll calm it all down!

pink bathroom

i have recurring dreams of this bathroom, it’s always super dusty like an old woman lived here and eventually couldn’t clean it anymore. the jacuzzi is kind of stained nicotine yellow, same as the shower. there’s always loads of vintage luxury products and perfumes.

Hi all! Accidentally deleted my first post so here is me typing it all out again lol

Does anyone have any holy grail moisturizer or SPF recommendations? I have extremely oily and acne-prone skin. I’ve been using the VERSED dew point moisturizer and the anua zerocast SPF for a while now, I’m about to run out and want to try something new! I do like VERSED dewpoint moisturizer, but I’m finding it to be a very bare minimum moisturizer meaning that it only really gives moderate hydration with no other benefits. I’d like something that’s more healing for the barrier! The Anua zero cast SPF is quite heavy and I find that it can clog my pores sometimes. This SPF also burns my eyes! (OUCH!!) I also do not use a moisturizer under the SPF since it’s so heavy.

My current routine
Morning: bubble milky toner, anua azelaic acid, anua zerocast SPF

My actives at night change through the week with an azelaic acid night between each salicylic and adapalene night

nighttime: salicylic acid 2 times a week, adapelene gel 1-2 times a week, azelaic acid 1-2 times a week, bubbles milky toner, versed dew point moisturizer

Also what is everyone’s experience with azelaic acid? I’m almost finished with the bottle and I feel like it’s not doing much worth $22 lol!
