Am I gonna make it???

Am I gonna make it???

Scared af
Im targetting ~250 so i can get Mech at Pilani

Last year the cut off was 235
and it was 266 in 2024
These cutoffs were based on the last iteration AFAIK
So im gonna be safe if i manage 250 on 25th
Im really scared because I dont wanna end up seeing a completely different paper than what the PFTs are

Any recommendations for relevant mocks? Or any relvant PFTs? Should I re analyse my poor performance ones?

I feel like it's the end for me

I'm a dropper. I scored 95.11%ile in JM.
I immediately shifted my focus to BITSAT instead of advanced because it was too late to start advanced prep.

Initially b4 the first session i was getting 100s in pythonanywhere mocks, gave 16S2 and ended up scoring 161. Not much but enough to motivate me to seriously prep for BITSAT.
Bought PC subscription and got to giving chapterwise tests, mocks and completing leftover syllabus.

My prep hasn't been good lately because of my environment. I know blaming others isn't mature of me and doesn't help but I can see how it has been affecting me.
Can't get into much details but the environment isn't really positive. Mostly mild negative and it does get to you at one point.

I just want ~260 so I can get Mechanical at Pilani and I'm done with it. But they way things are going 8 days before the exam, I am not that confident in myself rn.

I really don't wanna go to a bad college with poor opportunities, but more than this, I'll be hurt by the fact that once again I did not get what I wanted to.

I gave SAT in 12th, twice and didnt cross 1500. I wanted 95% in 12th Boards and didn't get that either, I wanted to get into IIT through drop year but of course I couldn't and then I didn't even get enough %ile to get a good NIT. Not getting BITS pilani would hurt a lot because it would mean that I'm not capable of achieving what I want to achieve. No one wants to live with that. Even if I suck it up and go on unfazed, my own family won't stop reminding me of my failures. Kabhi na kabhi they'll end up bringing it.

People who are experienced and are making stable profits. How do I learn?

I've seen quite some posts mentioning the effect of real world events on stocks and how you gotta trade/invest to get the best of the market.

I've seen people use a huge variety of technical terms. A couple that come to mind are 'indicators' and 'Charts'

Yet, I have 0 knowledge about trading/investing.

My Goals:
Begin paper trading, make a working strategy in the first and a half years of college that I will start this fall.

Make a stable profit. Not big but enough to make small miscellaneous purchases. Want to achieve this by the beginning of 4th year of college.

Also learn investing for a good long term gain. Preferably getting the a good amount from it in like a period of 5-7 years.

Questions:

  1. What are the best reliable free resources to tell me how markets work? What are all those terms? What apps are best for what trading style?

  2. How much of a capital do I need (After paper trading) to actually see some worthy profit.

  3. What platform specifically is the best for getting reiews/suggestions/tips based on my performance? Like any small circle where I can get any guidance?

  4. I don't want to stop learning. What other sources are necessary to keep in mind for refining my performance in the future?

  5. (Most Important) How much time am I supposed to give in a day? Given I can't give all 365 days of the year.

  6. What mindset is necessary to make the best of trading?

I have few good shirts but they're just so loose from the side and the back it's very odd to look at.

This is the fitting i wanna achieve:

I want to achieve a fitting as shown in the pics. Can a readymade shirt be tailored in any way to get rid of all that extra fabric? I think it's referred to as "Taking in the sides".

Asked my mom and she's against it because doing so will ruin the stitching of the shirt and there won't be any fabric left to make proper movements. She says that I'll have to just buy a fabric and get it tailored.

I genuinely need maths for my career and exams and I've always sucked at it. Even when I managed Chemistry and Physics, Maths always took me down.

How did you guys develop your maths skills and how long did it take you to do so?
