This is the BB of my Domane SL6 Gen4. I guess the frame is toast

This is the BB that came from factory. Removing it was barely possible at all. 60% of the threads are completely flat. You might want to check yours before your warranty expires. I had mine replaced due to a ticking sound that I could not eliminate any other way. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the inside of the thread in the frame, but the repair staff told me that it was in a similarly poor state.

This will be a real headache for me because I purchased this from a bike store that is 500km away from where I live and that, as I later found out, is reluctant to provide after-sales service of any kind. I had to fight with them for ages, just to get the IsoSpeed replaced.

Other than the ticking sound this bearing made, I was really happy with the bike's appearance and performance. I am now trying to get a new frame. However, I would prefer to stick with Gen 4 because I like the way it looks. I don't think re-threading would make it as good as new. And that is the right that I have for 24 months as a customer in Germany.

Reconditioned Kickr V6

I got a replacement Kickr V6 out of good will after getting a new but out of warranty unit from eBay from a private seller. It probably hat bearings issue event though I was definitely the fist one to open the box. Now the refurbished replacement arrived and it appears to be in worse condition:

- the rear foot of the unit was cracked and plastic pieces were floating around in the bag. I switched it with foot the previous unit.

- the casing around the belt was obviously rubbing against it. I was only able to fix it by switching parts with the other unit. The housing piece is warped.

- the rear hub nut was completely loose and caused my entire rear hub to have sideways play. I am not refering to the cassette but but the one holding the freehub to the spin wheel.

- someone had dug their finger nails into the handle rubber material. I switched it with the previous unit.

...

I am really unsure how long this unit will work. After all you usually don't crack parts of it under normal use.

At least the bearings now seem okay. But I hate it that they forced me to cut off the power cord of my previous unit, just the get a device that was not checked in any way and only works by sourcing parts from both. IMO this should not be the experience with a top of the line trainer. The support staff was niche but the quality assurance seems to be vheaping out a lot.

Male experience after 7 months with minimal payment and allegedly average looks

https://preview.redd.it/utjmq8widsbh1.png?width=995&format=png&auto=webp&s=d800638f40f046aaceab494c975223e69d69c58e

  • Out yes: 2475 (16% of profiles)
  • Out no: 13022
  • In yes: 47 (1.38% of views)
  • In no: 3399

For me, this is a waste of time. I only had about 5 matches and only one replied with little effort or willingness to chat. No dates, no progress in any way. I payed maybe four times for a 2€ visibility boost. No major subscription. I had my profile up here and people rated me as average up to above average in looks.

Doing a little math, i got 1.4% upvotes and only 0.2% of the profiles I liked, liked me back. So only one in 500 women. I would guess that my real world success is much higher. Also my profile got only 22.23% of the number of views I created on female profiles. I would be interested to see your ratio there.

If you delete your account, make sure you file a full data deletion request. The in app process does not delete it thoroughly and my data report shows all sorts of data collected. Such as the terrible verification picture I took in my bathroom or the individual locations of my app openings.

EDIT: This was after 1.5 months

https://preview.redd.it/coyjawfpgsbh1.png?width=1018&format=png&auto=webp&s=bb0902cf2d602fa7adea8be81c6d824b27daeb69

  • Out yes: 804 (same ratio of upvotes)
  • Out no: 4144
  • In yes: 20
  • In no: 1246 (1.5% of views, slightly lower)

However the visibility and thus the perceived success was much higher. I did about 1/3 of my views within the starting month.

EDIT2: Profile see: https://rddt.pixieset.com/rddt-1/ Sure it is not perfect, but not 1.38% bottom of the barrel. I am not willing to completely stage pictures that are supposed to show my life. I am also not willing to transform into some algorithmically optimized blank profile using filters, ai and possibly stupid pickup-lines. I did that many years ago and it did not feel authentic at all.
