I have a 2022 Subaru Legacy that is still covered under the 5-year powertrain warranty. I noticed an oil leak above the valve cover and camshaft tower. The dealer wants to charge me a $220 diagnostic fee, but even if I pay for the diagnosis, I’m not sure whether the leak will be covered under the powertrain warranty or if I’ll have to pay for the repair myself.
This is my Yokohama Avid GT tire on my Subaru Legacy. I bought the car brand new in November 2021, and it now has 36,600 miles on it. I occasionally drive on off-road trails for camping, hiking, and exploring, and I also drive in deep snowy conditions during winter. I think that may have caused the alignment problem. I also noticed that the rear tires are more worn on the sides than the front tires.
Should I be worried about Subaru’s Symmetrical AWD with bad alignment and worn tires? If I fix the alignment but don’t buy a new set of tires, will the alignment go back to how it is now? About how many months or miles do I have left on these tires?
