AMA: I've been a bond broker for 10yrs
Hey All,
Not sure if this is useful to anyone, but happy to give a little behind the scenes as a sell-side bond broker. It's a slow week.
I sell fixed income investments to institutional investors & RIAs.

So... I think I messed up.
I recently put in a 6' Vinyl privacy fence to contain my toddler. One the left side there are these old Arborvitaes that deer have gotten to. So the bottom half is completely bare.
On our side it looks amazing because the upper half of the trees create a nice privacy screen.
My neighbor, on the other hand, is not thrilled. He thinks we should have removed them first.
The main issue is that we can't access them anymore for maintenance. The vinyl is very tight to the tree branches. I was planning on getting a ladder to trim them, but I now realize I can't do anything about the roots/weeds/etc.
And it looks pretty bad on my neighbors side since they have a chain link fence and see the bare bottoms.
Will they uproot the fence? What's your advice? New Jersey btw.
Hey! I'm a sucker for interesting new movement engines, but most of my favorites have started to feel stale. My most recent obsession was Rocket League, absolutely insane physics engine with the aerial mechanics.
Also really enjoyed things like Apex Legends movement (pathfinder grapple, slide-jumping, etc), Gears of War's wall-bouncing, even some classes in World of Warcraft.
Any suggestions?
Hey so me and my two buddies are in our 30s with kids. We've been gaming for 20+ years, but gaming is starting to feel stale.
We love co-op roguelikes most recently, Rocket League, Apex, etc but all of these games are 10 years old.
Looking for something challenging with unique mechanics. What do you suggest?
I'm a salesperson of 10 years (financial services), and have been wanting to be more authentic with my clients.
Do you think being performative inherently makes clients trust you less? Or do you think clients expect a certain degree of "sales-ness" in interactions?
My book of business is more relationship driven than other sales. My goal is essentially to keep up with people, and to become "their main guy". Curious how you feel.
Hey all,
From NJ. I won a $5,000 trip through my company, and need to use it in the next month.
I want to check out northern US (great lakes) or Canada since summer is the only time you can vacation there. What's your favorite spot up North?
Can only be 4 days because of childcare, so budget is pretty open. Cheers!
As many of you know, LFG may be the worst system in all of WoW. I have a proposal to drastically improve LFG. This post is a Hail Mary that Blizzard will actually see this & care.
You click "JOIN (3v3, 2v2) GROUP" and you are sent to a full screen system where you are automatically matched with players of similar CR.
You are shown their character name/spec/mog, ilvl, and CR. That's it.
If you like the team comp, you ready up. If all three players ready up, then you are put into a normal group and regular WoW resumes where you can chat & you are automatically put into 3v3 queue.
Important: You cannot whisper or chat while at this screen. There is no penalty for leaving any group in the system and finding another group. Players can spend as much time as they want in LFG searching for a specific comp, but the heavy lifting is done for them. There is a time incentive to play something viable, instead of something super meta.
Why this works:
I can also see this being implemented for M+ and 2v2 as well. Is there any reason not to do this?
Welcoming all feedback: Positive, Negative, & Memes.
I'm shocked and impressed at the healer diversity in AWC. Great to see. Mostly Pres/MW across the board. Cdew on his Disc looked fire. Kubzy on RDruid took home gold.
Except.... RSham.... HPal.... sorry.
Balance is looking much better. I swear if they just remove Mass Invis from Frost Mages we'd have a diverse/balanced meta.
I'm convinced the only people who don't want to give glad mounts for Solo Shuffle and BG Blitz, are existing Glads. And honestly it makes sense, I wouldn't want my prestige to be in the hands of more people either. I keep hearing streamers say that the glad mount should stay on 3v3 only, but I'm sad cuz I'll probs never get one in LFG.
I just hate how blizzard gatekeeps the only cool PvP reward behind an impossible wall for my preferred way of PvPing.

You receive: I download an app, you get my data, sub & respect.
I receive: An app that I can accept BG blitz/shuffle queues on, so I can leave my desk without needing the volume at 100, rushing through chores, only to hear phantom cries of queues popping.
Thanks,
