What the title says. Once you see it, you can’t see it. White people, please wake up. We are the problem. Santa Fe wouldn’t exist without the disgusting exploitation of Native people. I wish white people would support and be allies in city council meetings, and speak up against businesses that continue to sell fake Native jewelry/art and exploit Native bodies with cigar store carvings and weird statues . The mayor has no backbone, is a passive racist and is disappointing. So many celebrities and rich people have their second homes here, but do nothing to support the very people who prop up their entitled positions. Economy would not exist without this exploitation.
Does anyone have any information or connection to Macias Hardware from the earlier 20th century? I am seeking more information about my family and this was the hardware store that they owned. I believe it was open and operating some here between 1900-1917.
