I posted something pretty similar on here a little while ago, so if you’re seeing me again… hiiii 😭 I ended up meeting some genuinely cool people from that post, and honestly it reminded me how much I love getting to know people.

I’m 23F, from Queens, NY. I usually live overseas for med school, but I just finished finals, so I’m currently on vacation in the UK (please read that in a British accent) 😭 I’m basically temporarily unemployed until the beginning of September, which means I suddenly have way too much free time and don’t quite know what to do with myself.

This sounds corny as hell, but I genuinely find people fascinating. Especially when we come from completely different backgrounds or live totally different lives. I love hearing about the random things you care about, your culture, your oddly specific interests, the thing you could yap about for hours if someone let you. Which is kinda funny because I’m also a HUGE homebody. You will rarely catch me voluntarily outside unless I have somewhere to be or I’ve been indoors so long that I need to go touch grass. I genuinely love my own company, but I love being outdoors with the right person! Most evenings I’m perfectly happy gaming, watching something, studying, or just reading novels in my room.

I think that’s part of what I’m looking for too. Someone I can feel completely comfortable around. Someone I don’t have to constantly entertain or be “on” for. We can yap for hours one night and barely say anything the next because we’re both doing our own thing, and neither of us feels weird about it. I wanna be able to be my boring little homebody self around you and feel completely at ease.

I’m a casual gamer these days because med school murdered my free time. I’m also a huge sci-fi nerd, I love driving, and I’m obsessed with motorcycles. If we ever somehow end up living near each other, I will absolutely try to convince you to let me take you for a ride.

I’m keeping an open mind with what I’m looking for. I’d genuinely be happy making more friends, but I’d also love to find someone I really click with where talking feels easy, we actually look forward to hearing from each other, and if mutual feelings eventually sneak in… i’m not gonna complain!

School has me in a chokehold most days, so if I disappear for a bit I'm probably buried in books wondering why I chose this life. That said, I try to keep my evenings free, and it'd be kinda nice if they were filled with getting to know you instead.

When I'm not pretending I understand every lecture, I'm usually winding down with games ot reading a novel (sci-fi specifically, she's a nerddd). I'm definitely more of a casual gamer these days. Lately I've been hooked on Dave the Diver and Contraband Police. I hop on GTA Online every now and then too until someone decides to nerf me during a mission and then i rage quit (definitely not a sore loser 😆). I'd absolutely love a player two, though.

Outside of gaming, I have a soft spot for driving and riding motorcycles. If we're lucky enough to live anywhere near each other one day, I'd love to take you for a ride.

As for what I'm looking for, I'm keeping an open mind. If you're a gamer, a yapper, or you'd just like to chill while we do our own things, i think we'll click. I'd be happy to make some genuine friends, and if we click and there's something more there for both of us, I'd be excited to see where it goes. No pressure.

Does any of the girlies play FIFA? I kinda got into it because of my brother, and now we live in different time zones, so finding someone to play with has been tragic lol.

I'm definitely not a hardcore FIFA player. The only modes I really play are Kick Off and Seasons, but I am a competitive person, so I'll absolutely try my hardest to win. That said, if you're nice, I might let you have a win every now and then 😌

I've been going through what feels like the worst breakup of my life. I genuinely thought she was the person I'd spend my life with. It's been months, and I still find myself crying. I don't know if that's normal. Some days I'm okay, and other days it feels like I'm right back at the beginning. I'm honestly scared that I'll never fully get over her. It feels like a gloomy cloud is constantly following me. Some days it's far enough away that I can go about my day almost normally. Other days it catches up to me, and it feels like I can't outrun it. The grief just sits in my chest, and I see her in everything.

The hardest part is that I don't really have family I can lean on for this. My parents are homophobic, and even though I'm incredibly close with my mom in every other way, this is the one thing I can't cry to her about. It hurts knowing the person I'd normally run to for comfort can't be that person here.

I guess I'm posting because I feel really alone. If anyone has been through something similar and came out the other side, I'd really love to hear your story. It's hard to believe this feeling won't last forever.

I'm mostly just looking for some company. I'd love to find someone who's down to stream random YouTube videos, watch a show, share memes, talk nonsense, or just exist in the same virtual space for a bit. It doesn't have to become a long-term friendship, though I'd be happy if it did.

So due to extreme FOMO, I've recently started Minecraft. Unfortunately, I've discovered that I am absolutely terrible at Minecraft. I'm playing on Xbox (if that matters) and can barely survive a single day before some random creature appears out of nowhere and beats my ass. I've spent more time running away than actually building anything.

I'm an occasional gamer because school keeps me busy, but if I see someone online, there's a pretty good chance I'll hop on a game. Right now I'm free tonight and a bit tomorrow. Most of my free time is usually in the evenings/nights.

Fair warning: I'm pretty shy. I'd prefer texting first before hopping on a call. No idea how that's supposed to work while playing Minecraft, but we'll figure it out!
