Are Psycho Patrol R and Cruelty Squad Set in the Same Universe?

Both games are set in similarly bleak and dystopian worlds, and there are several moments that seem to suggest possible connections between them.

However, in terms of game design, Psycho Patrol R has a much more realistic visual style compared to the psychedelic and surreal aesthetic of Cruelty Squad.

Given these similarities and differences, are Psycho Patrol R and Cruelty Squad actually set in the same universe? Or could Psycho Patrol R be a prequel to Cruelty Squad?

I Was Extremely Lucky That Day

I managed to get Zip 3000 in just five minutes!

However, it seems I used up all of my luck that day, because I was hit by all kinds of bad luck afterward.

Chunkopop Guy Looks Just Like Al from Toy Story

I feel like Chunkopop Guy looks a lot like Al from Toy Story.

They have similar appearances (although Chunkopop Guy isn’t quite as overweight as Al), and both of them are collectors.

Because of these similarities, I personally think the two characters are surprisingly alike.

Am I the Only One Who Thinks the Russian Mafia Look Like Scientists?

While playing Hotline Miami, I couldn't help but notice something.

Because the Russian Mafia members wear white suits with light blue shirts, they sometimes look less like gangsters and more like bald scientists to me. It almost feels like Jacket is running around killing scientists instead of mobsters.

Am I the only one who sees them this way, or has anyone else had the same impression?

Was the War Between the Star People and the Qu Beyond Anything We Can Imagine?

In the early part of the story, the Star People go to war with the Qu.

Do you think this conflict was on a scale and level of complexity far beyond anything we can realistically imagine?

Earlier in the timeline, during the war between Earth and Mars, it’s implied that highly advanced AI-controlled drones were already being used. If that’s the case, could the later war between the Star People and the Qu have involved even more advanced autonomous weapons, such as next-generation drone fleets or even star-destroying weapons?

What do you think the technology and scale of that war might have been like?

Symon Looks a Lot Like the Brazilian Politician Carlos Lacerda

While playing Suzerain, I noticed that the appearance of the Minister of Economy, Symon Holl, bears a striking resemblance to the Brazilian politician Carlos Lacerda from the Cold War era.

Interestingly, Lacerda survived an assassination attempt carried out by associates of Getúlio Vargas in 1954. He later went on to become the governor of Guanabara State, where he oversaw a major redevelopment of Rio.

What Is Ville Kallio Ideology?

While playing Cruelty Squad, I noticed that the game contains a great deal of satire aimed at real-world capitalism and memes.

Because of this, I’ve been wondering: is Ville Kallio influenced by anti-capitalist or nihilistic ideas? Or does he have a different, more unique ideology that doesn’t fit neatly into those categories?

Is the Strange Appearance of the World in Cruelty Squad a Reflection of MT’s Mental State?

The world of Cruelty Squad is undeniably bizarre and unsettling. It features a hyper-capitalist society and a grotesquely evolved biopunk setting, but what stands out the most are things like the disturbing appearance of MT’s handler and the walls covered with human-like faces, all of which create a strong sense of unease.

This made me wonder: do ordinary people in the world of Cruelty Squad actually see these things the same way we do? Or is the world only portrayed this way because MT is mentally unstable, causing everything around them to appear so strange and disturbing?

What do you think? Is the game’s visual style an objective depiction of the world, or is it influenced by MT’s psychological state?

Who Would Win in a Fight: Jacket or MT Foxtrot from Cruelty Squad?

Jacket is a former special forces operative with exceptional combat skills. He single-handedly wiped out numerous Russian Mafia hideouts and even stormed a police station, taking on large numbers of officers by himself.

On the other hand, MT Foxtrot is a former member of a government combat unit who carried out numerous assassination missions. In addition, MT can equip a variety of implants that grant superhuman physical abilities far beyond those of an ordinary human.

If these two were to fight each other, who do you think would win? Why?

Could Jacket Survive in the World of Minecraft?

While playing Hotline Miami, I suddenly found myself wondering something.

How long would the protagonist, Jacket, be able to survive if he were transported into the world of Minecraft?

According to the game's lore, Jacket is an exceptionally skilled fighter. However, despite his combat ability, he can still be killed by relatively minor gunshots or blunt-force trauma. Because of that, it's possible that he wouldn't even be able to survive a single attack from a Minecraft zombie or skeleton.

So, how well do you think Jacket would fare in the world of Minecraft? How long do you think he could survive?

How Common Is It for Women to Wear the Hijab in Syria?

I've recently been watching videos about Syria, and I've noticed that many women are not wearing the hijab.

This made me wonder whether religious dress codes are relatively relaxed in Syria. On the other hand, I've also heard that in recent years there have been stricter regulations on swimwear at public beaches, such as restrictions on revealing bathing suits.

Taking that into account, how common is it for women to wear the hijab in Syria today? Is it something that most women wear, or does it vary significantly depending on the region and the local culture?

Is MT a Cyborg or a Mutant?

MT can equip a wide variety of implants throughout the game, allowing them to perform feats far beyond normal human capabilities.

However, these implants are far more grotesque than typical cybernetic enhancements. For example, one uses MT’s own intestines as a grappling hook, while another propels them forward by ejecting waste from their legs. These abilities feel far more biological than mechanical.

On higher difficulty settings, MT can even consume human flesh and regenerate from scattered pieces of their own body.

With all of that in mind, would you consider MT to be a cyborg, or are they better described as a mutant who has evolved beyond humanity? What do you think?

Is Syria Hot Right Now?

I've been hearing that Europe has been experiencing an intense heatwave recently.

That made me wonder: is it also very hot in Syria at the moment, even if not to the same extent as Europe? Or is it actually relatively cool there right now?

What Is This?

The close-up image labeled “LIFE” that appears in Ending 2—what exactly is it?

The same image can also be found on computers at the Cruelty Squad headquarters and in the target room of Neuron Activator. Could this face belong to a higher being, similar to Abraxas or the Triagons?

Or is it instead some kind of symbolic icon or talisman used by the upper class?

What Exactly Are the Cars in Cruelty Squad?

The cars in Cruelty Squad are incredibly unsettling. They look strangely organic, and for some reason, they even appear to have human intestines inside the driver's compartment.

So what exactly are these vehicles? Are they machines, living organisms, or something in between? There seem to be far more questions than answers.

Can those bizarre creations really even be called cars?

Are There Any Lessons from Cruelty Squad That Can Be Applied to Job Hunting?

I’m currently job hunting, and it got me wondering whether there are any pieces of knowledge or techniques from Cruelty Squad that could actually be useful in that context.

If anyone has any ideas or experiences, I’d appreciate your advice.

What Is the Emperor’s Soul?

In Ending 2, LIFE states that MT possesses the “Emperor’s Soul.” But what exactly does the Emperor’s Soul mean?

My interpretation is that the Emperor’s Soul represents the qualities or potential of a ruler. In the subsequent conversation with LIFE, the mindset of the CEO—the emperor of this world—is discussed in greater detail.

My interpretation may overlap with other theories, but this is how I understand the concept of the Emperor’s Soul.

What are your thoughts on the Emperor’s Soul? How do you interpret it?

The World of CAL Feels Like a Dystopia

The world of CAL is generally quite dark and bleak. One of the most striking aspects of the setting is the role played by corporations.

These companies sell a soda that causes serious health problems, yet they are fully aware of its effects and actively work to cover them up while continuing to market and distribute the product.

They also spread false claims about "parasites" in order to justify sealing off apartment complexes for their own benefit. When incidents or escape attempts occurred within those quarantined buildings, agents were dispatched to systematically destroy evidence and cover up what had happened.

Because of these elements, I see the world of CAL as being somewhat similar to a cyberpunk setting, where corporations wield enormous power and influence over society.

For that reason, I hope the upcoming sequel will place a greater spotlight on these corporations and explore their role in the world in more detail.
