Klay Thompson has one of the most technically perfect jump shots ever, but aesthetically I actually prefer guys like Steph Curry’s form by a lot.
Klay’s shot is the definition of textbook clean, consistent, and beautiful in the traditional sense. But something about it looks a little stiff compared to Steph. Steph’s release looks way more natural and relaxed. The way his arms flow, the quick recoil after the shot, and how effortless his motion looks makes it way more satisfying to watch.
Obviously Klay’s jumper is elite and there’s nothing wrong with his mechanics, but if I had to choose the shot I enjoy watching more, I’m taking Steph every time.
Anyone else feel like Steph’s form just looks smoother even though both are alltime shooters?
