I’m going into 9th grade next year and was wondering if I could be able to take Algebra 1 and Geometry at the same time next year. Back in 8th grade, I didn’t take algebra 1, but | self- studied the course during my free time. I took five Algebra 1 regents practice exams, scoring around 90-97.

I also excelled in my 8th grade math course, I got 3 consecutive 99s in my math course and an academic achievement award in mathematics. If I show my school that I already have a deep understanding of algebra 1, would they let me take algebra 1 and geometry at the same time next year?

Greetings, I'm a 14M from Flushing and I wanted to get some feedback about bayside high school since I'm going to be a freshman there this fall.

Honestly, I only wanted to go there because according to my friends, it was “one of the best high schools in queens” which encouraged me to apply there.
Eventually, I got into Bayside.The moment I got in l started to do some research and visiting the school,after all those visits, I noticed my friends couldn't be more wrong about bayside.I didn’t really connected with the atmosphere of the school, there are also a lot more of bad kids than what I expected and I don't really see the academic rigor that I expected to experience.

Also, Many upperclassmen have told me that many freshmen have transferred after their first year - which to be honest, it got me thinking to do the same thing-

Should I give bayside a try or should I just give up?

I was going to take this summer to relax and do nothing but to be honest I don't want to Just sit in bed and do nothing all summer, sometimes doing nothing makes me super tired.I want to find some extracurricular so I can to start building my college profile. What are some extracurriculars you guys recommend I can do this summer that can truly help me get into a top universities?

Recently I just receive a award from my school. I wasn’t that amused because I known that those awards wouldn’t really help me get into a good college.A lot of my friends had won regional and state awards but every time I tried to search for these awards, I don’t find anything.

How you doing everyone!!!!!! So pretty soon I’m going to graduate and to celebrate and I need some ideas on how my graduation cap can look like, I want it to have a panic at the disco style but at the same time a little bit of marvel style (specifically iron-man) I’m open to any ideas that you guys bring. Also, idk if I can also have some help in how to put my decoration on my cap bc I’m really new at this, lol
(They are going to give me my cap around may 27-30, I’m graduating in June)
