Should I buy this car?

Hi guys! I’d really appreciate some advice.
I’m thinking about financing a used VW Golf(150 ps - driven 43.000km).

My plan is to make a down payment of 8000€ and then finance the car with 200€ a month for 4 years. Interest rate is at 2.99%. So at the end I would have an outstanding amount of around 4000€. I’m calculating that the total cost a month is 500€. (Insurance, tax fuel and so on)

My current savings are at around 25k. After all expenses I can still save 500 - 600€ a month.

Is this a smart decision? I’m unsure if I can actually afford this car and still accumulate savings over time.

Bad side symptoms

Hi everyone,

I’m on day 7 of taking Zoloft (sertraline) for anxiety.
I started on 50 mg, but by day 4 I was experiencing quite a bit of nausea, and from day 1 I had diarrhea. After speaking with my doctor, he reduced my dose to 25 mg.

What I’m struggling with most is that my anxiety actually feels worse than it did before starting Zoloft. My 20-minute train ride to work has become incredibly difficult. I get sweaty palms, feel nauseous, and constantly worry that I’m going to throw up and embarrass myself.

Once I get to work, I also feel much more anxious around my coworkers and clients. I’m new to the job and still in my probation period, so that probably adds to it. I definitely had some anxiety before starting Zoloft, but it feels much more intense now.
I’m just wondering if this is a normal part of starting sertraline or if it could mean it’s not the right medication for me. Should I keep pushing through, or is this something I should be concerned about?
Also, are there any medications that doctors commonly prescribe to help get through the initial adjustment period while waiting for Zoloft to start working?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through something similar or has any advice. Thanks!

I’m done with my sisters..

Hi everybody
I wanted to share some struggles that I have in my family and maybe get some perspective on how I should deal with this.

I’m 31M and have two older sisters. To make a long story short they have accused me all my life that I’ve been the favoured child of our mother. My dad is gone as they are divorced.

For the past 10 years I’ve been living overseas building my life. I’ve only been back 1 time to visit!

Here’s the crazy part. One of my sisters been living with my mum her whole life. She’s 35 now! In that time she hasn’t paid a cent in rent or any other utility bills plus my mum has been grocery shopping and cooking for her and her husband. Ah yes, she also did the laundry of my brother in law.

Now I’ve been moving back and asked my mum if it’s ok if I stayed with her for a while. In that time I agreed with her that we all should pay rent which then came to pass. My brother in law doesn’t move a finger in the house or let’s say barely.
One nice example is that in winter when the garages had to be cleared from the snow my brother in law decided to only do “his side” not clearing my mothers garage so she had to start her day 30min early to clear the snow and drive to work. He’s 30 she’s 62. 🙃

The other day my sister walked up to my mum and yelled at her from the top of her lungs accusing her that she’s always favouring me. And then she told her that she was a bad mum… There’s audacity you need to have after everything she’s done for her.

There’s so much more but I’m just sick and tired of hearing that I’m the favoured whilst my mum actually supports them way more than me. On top of that they gang up on me, they don’t care how I see things or how I feel and and and. There’s nothing I can do that is good enough. My mum is also tired and wants them to move out.

What should I do? I feel like I want to cut ties with them even though I don’t really want to. But I don’t deserve to be treated that way.
