I can never find a decent return flight using points

Hello! I’ve attempted to purchase many nonstop international trips using points throughout the past few years.

I’ll find a direct departure flight for 45,000 - 49,000 points, but then there are absolutely no decent return flights.

I’ve tried booking flights both a year early (to the day) and within a few months away. I’ve tried changing the destination. It doesn’t matter.

For example, if I book a round trip flight from California to Sydney, it’s 45,000 points for a nonstop flight to Sydney and no nonstop flights back to CA. The best I can do is 85,000 points with a layover. However if I just do a one way from Sydney to California, there’s a nonstop flight for over 300,000 points. 🙃

I don’t see many people complaining about this. Is there a better way to do this? I’m constantly just buying my tickets instead of using velocity points. I don’t have the patience for Velocity.

Thanks!

Super quick turnaround time for citizenship approval

Hi everyone! I applied for citizenship at the start of April, received my appointment letter 30 days later, and then had my citizenship was approved just 7 days after the appointment.
I'm in Sydney and was surprised by how quickly everything moved. Is this the norm these days, or are people in other cities/states still waiting 7–12 months for approval?

Priceline’s $10 blind bags

Priceline is advertising over $40 worth of makeup for $10. I’d recommend if you love surprise bags.

I received a Cover Girl Simply Ageless concealer, NYX Plump Right Back Primer, Gelly nail polish and an NYX butter gloss. I’ll use everything except for the butter gloss.

These are in store only for Sister members. I purchased mine from Bondi.

Tips for drivers license photo

I am convinced that Service Now intentionally takes the worst drivers license photos in the world. It’s like all of my worst enemies consult with them beforehand and say “f*@k her up!!”

I can walk in confidently feeling like a hot 8 until I see the new drivers license photo - I always look like a glorified crackhead. My brown hair is brassy, I look older than my mom and my skin colour is off.

Does anyone have any tips for looking good? For example light contouring, extra mascara, etc.

Please share your tips!

Are people paying full price at Woolies/Coles?

Coles currently has Cadbury bars for $8, Tim Tams for $6, 1L of Dove body wash for $19, and dishwasher tablets for $49. These prices are outrageous imo.

Are there really a lot of people who will buy products like these at full price? Or are the significant majority of purchases only made when the items are heavily discounted? I only buy when it’s 50% off.
