Hey everyone, I(24 F) have (had) a storage unit from Public Storage that was wrongfully cleared out. Basically a woman hired two movers to clear out her two units, and they cleared out one of her units and then my own. Cut the lock off of it and loaded everything into a truck. I have insurance through Orange Door insurance, the one they offer.

I’m in the process of filling out a claims sheet, and I’m finding myself sorely lacking “proof of interest”. Lots of the clothes, Furniture, and home appliances I lost were gifts given to me years ago, so I hardly have any receipts. Also, just because I didn’t know better, I didn’t take “before” photos of my storage unit and its contents after I filled it when I first moved in.

Orange Door is known for being scummy cheap, and I just have a sinking feeling in my stomach that because of my lack of documentation, I’m not gonna get any sort of reasonable payout.

So! I’m interested in making some Mods for a game I play. I downloaded BePinEx and Harmony at a friends suggestion, but I also have a decompiled version of the game. Which would be more beginner friendly? Which will allow me to possibly make more dramatic changes? (Think adding additional quests.)

So! I live in a boarding house with about 15 other adults, and the landlord gives us free WiFi. My iPhone and smart TV have no trouble connecting to the WiFi, but my PC constantly says “Connected. No internet”, and after 11 months I’m tired of having a crapshoot on whether or not I have WiFi for the day. (85% of the time I don’t)

I think it’s because of too many devices on the network, but I can’t say for sure. What’s the solution? Do I get a router? Range Extender? A hotspot just for my PC and just pay for data?

I have a pair of Powerbeats Pro that have never given me any trouble, until this morning. For some reason, it automatically cycles between noise cancelling modes. I’ve already tried resetting them, as well as cleaning them with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol.

Does anyone have any idea on how I can fix this?

Slowly taking my life back. After praying and working for years, this month I got my first legit job that can get me on a real career path. Using my first check, I paid off my loan with the highest APR. (3,500 at 10.63% over 36 months. I paid it in five, and saved about 500 in interest.) got a ways to go, but God willing I’ll be debt free by the EOY!!

Ok, so I’m running CoS for the first time, and to me “Old Bonegrinder” and the Old-Woman who sells pies is just too on the nose. Screams “Hag” and I know my players won’t trust her as-written for a second.
BUT as I was thinking about what to do with them, I was reminded about a book my mama would read to me as a kid. It was called “Heckedy Peg”, written by Audrey Wood and GORGEOUSLY illustrated by Don Wood. It's a story about a witch that turns a group of kids into food.
She plans to eat them, and the mother begs the witch to let her have them back.
The witch agrees, if they play a game. The mother must guess which item of food is which of her children.
The mother does so, because earlier in the story she goes to the market, and buys a trinket that each of her children ask for.
(the child turned into milk asked for a china pitcher, the child turned into bread wanted a tub of butter, the child turned into porridge wanted a pot of honey, etc.)
So now Barovia has had a string of Kidnappings, and concerned parents can only give the players one clue: that the abducted children left behind their favorite trinket/snack.

Good Morning everyone. Long time DM here, but my first time running Curse of Strahd. One of my players is a Paladin, and we decided that he would be a member of the Order of the Silver Dragon.

(But Pika, how can he be a member if Strahd killed them all 400 years ago?!) alright, so Strahd killed *nearly* all of them. A single lowly recruit named “ser Feigling” was off running an errand, and came back to the hold to see Argynvostholt burning. He fled to Krez, and paid a Vistani to smuggle him out in a Vardo. Ser Feigling was back in the forgotten realms, and founded a mercenary company called “The Silver Snakes.”

Drawing inspiration from ASOIAF’s Golden Company, the Silver Snakes were a pricey yet well disciplined mercenary army, whose mission was to train warriors and collect a war chest big enough to someday retake Barovia. This grand conspiracy was a semi-secret kept to only the inner circle of the order. Since my players Paladin is starting at third level, we’ve written into his back story that he’s fought in the order for a few years and gotten considerable stronger than your average guard. So recently he was taught the company’s 400 year history.

My players Paladin has now been sent to Barovia as a scout/tip of the spear, when Argynvostholt has been restored, he can send a message for the rest of his order to arrive and pressure Strahd. But that’s for another day…

Right now we’re trying to write and narrow down what the Tenants of a Vengeance Paladin sworn to the Order of the Silver Dragon would be. Any ideas?

So! Earlier this year, me (24NB) and my mom(44F) watched AKOTSK. I’ve read all the books, and watched GOT and HOTD as they were coming out. My mom on the other hand knew very little about it, besides some very basic pop-cultural knowledge. She LOVED Dunk and Egg, and so I’ve convinced her to watch ‘Thrones with me. We’re on episode 4 of season one now, and she’s sooo funny with why characters she likes and doesn’t like. She thinks Cersei and Ned are both “such great moms and dads.” She likes Bran, only because he looks like my brothers did at the age. She’s fully convinced he’s going to die soon. She doesn’t trust littlefinger, and thinks John’s a bit of a twerp too. I’ll post more funny updates soon!
