My wife and kid are away so I set my drums up in the living room
I've never played a five piece in my life. It's like adding .333 to every equation I do in my when when I play.

I'm not the first one to tear into these drums so I'm certain they didn't come out of the factory this way but why are these lugs different?
Hey folks, I'm working on restoring this 1976 kit I picked up and can't figure out if this is Mahogany cortex or Walnut Cortex. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Just based on what you see. 5 piece 70s lidwigs with a pretty rough supraphonic and cymbals.
Edit: I ended up paying $200 for everything in the photo. The bass drum is roughest as it was missing the front head and some of the bottom lugs are rusty. The 12, 13, and 16 toms are in really good shape and only need new heads. The Supra is kinda pitted and the hoops are rusty but looks restorable, at least to the level of a player grade drum. The cymbals are kind of mixed. The hats are [something] "by Zildjian", the ride with rivets is a zildzian and there's a 13" Sabian crash. I'm not interested in the hardware.
