Safe to separate?
Can I separate these basal shoots? Didn't even think about doing it til I unpotted it, thought there was one but turns out there are two

Is there a way to get these basal shoots separated from the main plant?
When my Drosera Graomogolensis died to root rot I discovered that it's tap-root reached the bottom of my 10 inch deep pot. Luckily, before it died, I'd cut several leaves off and now am raising its orphaned children. As I was repotting these clones I got the idea to try to 'train' my plant to have long roots
So, in case anyone is unaware, these plants grow a long 'taproot'. These guys typically live at higher elevations and because gravity has the unfortunate effect of stealing all the water away and giving it to the greedy vegetation down below they had to adapt. This resulted in them evolving a (as far as I've seen) singular thick, long, root along that just burrows straight down as deep as it can go so that when their normal roots don't have access to water it can still thrive by reaching the water that the ground has absorbed.
In theory, this means i (Batman) could potentially train my graomogolensis orphans (my gaggle Robins in training) to grow super long roots (kick bad guys butts while supporting the prison industrial complex rather than addressing the root cause of crime in my city).
Also, disclaimer, I'm not doing any real formal measuring or data collecting or any 'real' documentation'. This is for fun and I work a lot. Specifically I work not as a scientist.
So, the way ive set it up is:
I put them into 3 pots based on how big the orphan clones (fig. 1-5) are I filled the bottom of the pot, up to just below where most of the roots reach, with a 50/50 peat/perlite
Filled the rest in with more perlite (didn't measure that out either, kinda just threw more perlite into the 50/50 mix until it looked right). (Fig. 6,7)
Accidentally rip the roots off of one of the clones (fig. 8)
Freak out (not pictured)
Decide im going to fix things by making a prosthetic root (not pictured)
Cut a straw to the length of the height of my smallest pot (fig. 9)
Fill the straw with sphagnum (fig. 10)
Placed my brutalized clone in its new prosthetic root and hope for the best as if it changes the fact that I've dismembered the living thing I was supposed to care for, nourish, and grow (fig. 11)
Thank you for coming to my ted talk
Is there really a tangible benefit to cutting a flower stalk to save energy? Like, every time I see someone post a pic of a carnivorous plant, regardless of the health it appears to be in, and they ask "is my plant ok?" There's a dozen people saying "cut the flower stalk‼️ your plant is dedicating energy to it that it's not sending to its leaves". All of my plants except for my neps shoot up flowers, some like my Madagascarsnsis and Capensis flower incessantly year round. I've tried trimming the flower stalks to see if they grow better or more, and didn't notice a difference. I prune dead and dying leaves regularly, but the flower stalks stay unless they're in the way.
A year ago I was convinced I could never keep a plant alive. Now these plants have brought immeasurable joy into my life.

Wanted the hamata to be the first, idk how reddit works, but here's a small selection of some of my favorite pics of my collection🤗
Now I know nothing about working with leather, but it seems to me that I'd just be able to stitch these back together with the existing holes since it's just the thread that's broken. The problem is that these are insulated and meant to be water resistant so it's all sealed off on the inside and I can't get to the inside of the leather to thread the needle back out. Any advice?
I was just lactose intolerant a week ago before taking a chewable lactaid. Took a melatonin last night and that triggered gut issues for the first time ever after taking melatonin my whole life without issue. Took a chewable lactaid Saturday. Terrible reaction. Crazy bloating. Felt like I had an alkacelzer tablet it my stomach. Eventually puked up everything and was fine. Discovered mannitol was the culprit. I'm stupid and didn't read the lable on the pills and thought "theyre not sweet so they're fine" and proceeded to take between 1 to 2 lactaid pills a day for the next 4 days. Tuesday night I read the pills label and find mannitol. No lactaid Wednesday, but did have a tolerable amount of cheese on my sandwich with the admittedly predictable normal amount of gas later. No lactaid. I take a melatonin. I go to bed. Wake up 2 hours later dry heaving and forcing up burps for 2 hours. Go back to bed and amd wake up farting and burping to my alarm. I continue to burp in fits throughout the day today. Now I'm home and I've still got something bubbling in my stomach and I feel like shit. Only dairy I had today was in a QuikTrip breakfast burrito which would only give me farts after a few hours and I'd feel dandy by lunch. Anybody got a way to fix the brewery I seem to have in my upper GI?
I'm not a crafty person by any means, but I've been getting into exploring fashion and personal expression which includes altering some of my clothing. I know practically nothing, Im just now learning how to use a sewing machine.
Not home and won't be home for a minute so this is the only picture I have atm. One of my old steel toe work boots. These were retired after a year and a half and I've since gotten new boots and these have been sitting in my closet forever and I really wanna do something with them. Y'all got any ideas of what to do with em? Or any content creator or resource recommendations for learning how to work with/fix/alter boots? I know I need to fix up the rubber around the soles and put new strings in em. I would really like to be able to put an outfit together that includes these considering they're still incredibly comfortable
Ok so this might be a weird one and please forgive me if I am imposing by posting here, but I just don't really know where to start?
Im not a trans woman per se despite my roommates claims to the contrary, but definitely consider myself nonbinary/genderfluid though I haven't really fleshed out any concrete label for my gender identity or know what that means for me, but I digress... I'm a generic cis-straight presenting guy, ie: no jewelry except pierced ears, sweatpants, graphic tee, tennis shoes, most of which is black or gray. My girlfriend is goth/alt and good god I am in love with her and her style and aesthetic and I really want to be able to match it, or at least come closer than the two total outfits I have that I'm not ashamed to wear next to her when she's all dressed up and whatnot in public. I would talk to her about this, but I'm incredibly susceptible to validation bias and don't want to ask for her advice or do makeup and stuff with her until I'm more confident in terms of knowing what I want or don't want.
I really want to try to find a way into a more androgynous to fem aesthetic. Like... I'm a guy but I'm not a guy and I don't want people looking at me and thinking "look at that *guy*" you know what I mean? Specifically makeup. I know nothing about it. Literally nothing. Ive been getting into a skincare and bake care routine so I at least have that going for me. My girlfriend and sister both put eyeliner on me if I'm going to concerts with either of them but that's the extent of my makeup. I don't even know what they're doing up there. My girlfriend being black and me being white also means that trying to study her doing her makeup is also a no-go since all her makeup and routine is tailored to her skin tone, and even then it's rare that she does more than eyeliner. Where do I even start? And also, how can I up my game in general. These are my only two outfits, I'm looking for ball knowledge here
