Psychologist/Therapist in Fsd?

Has anyone here been to an actual Psychologist (not a Psychiatrist) in Faisalabad? Who do you recommend and what's their fee?

Also is this Fsd's only subreddit? Seems pretty inactive.

Why don't we have Pakistani VMAs

First off this sub really needs better flairs like Music, Drama, Film, Hot Take etc.

Ok so why don't we have a proper Music Awards type of thing? We clearly have more than enough people and after Bollywood got banned, people actually understood the value of independent artists. The stage performances of singers with dancers and a grand stage would be so entertaining.

Guys a very fun video

Dekhiye aur mazeed jaaniye hum ne bechare Bangladeshiyon ko kese kese loota. I studied history from that Nigel Kelly book and it did cover all these facts. I think matric/fsc mein it's less clear. Is that right?

Why does everyone hate Aima Baig?

I like her since Mazaq Raat days and previous Coke Studio songs and all. Come on, she has a really good voice. See her interviews where she sings. When I tell people I like her, people make fun of me lol. They tell she dod this that and I'm like, ok? How is her personal life relevant to me? I just came to know about Ariana Grande's super controversial life where she supposedly steals husbands (although I don't believe in that, koi steal nai kar sakta jab tak mard khud nai chahta) and then leaving them for a new man. Everybody still loves her cuz of her talent. Sooo, why the hate? I also don't mind her being in every PSL song.

The Arrival is the only valid alien movie

Like first off, the alien ships don't arrive just in the US, but rather across different continents and different countries. Secondly, they don't immediately start talking in English or some shi, they actually send linguists to decipher their language.

I know there are other films where aliens don't speak English but yk, in most of them they do.

I'd appreciate any similar recommendations

Actor in Law is underrated

It has nice dialogues, a story that hits home (my laptop charger recently became obsolete after voltage-changes, the usual tranforner phatt gaya or something), nice cinematography capturing Karachi, some comedy, and great acting. I think we've made a norm of criticizing our own movies a lot (not that their quality helps, but some do deserve appreciation where it's due).

Need movies like

I loved Valerian: The City of a Thousand Planets. Something like that. Intergalactic, space, futuristic typa thing but with a really good plot.

Also, some movie with nice big medieval castle and larger than life architecture but again with an engaging story. Van Helsing jesi I guess? But even more grand. Doesn't have to be supernatural like it.

Please recommend.

Got Talent officially coming to Pakistan

Pakistan's Got Talent is coming guys. I watched a lot of AGT and Grace Vanderwaal ki wajah se ukulele bhi liya tha 😭 So I'm kinda excited butttt

Judge Panel has Tabish Hashmi (pretty good comedian, I love his double meaning jokes aap jo bhi kaho), Mehwish Hayat (hate her or love her, she just does her work and I've enjoyed some of her movies and many dramas in childhood, she realllyyy shouldn't have done Dayen though, bills can't be that high), yahan tak sab theekh hai.

Then we have that Mubasshir guy who is apparently apparently super rich, was on Shark Tank making the biggest deals and stuff and even appeared in MasterChef Pakistan season 2 finale?? Wahan bhi koi tuk nai thi. Why is he in an entertainment show now? He's not even famous in pop culture.

Onto the most controversial judge, Ali Zafar. Acha reality show agar aa hi gaya hai tou bilawaja ki controversy hogi ab. Idc whether he was innocent or not lekin people will say bad stuff and I want this show to perform well.

Your thoughts?

Yall remember Firaaq? Sanam and Mohib?

The old 2010s dramas were so intense yet refreshing! They would take you to different sets and locations and even have a change of country. Anyways I loved this drama but Sanam became the typical heroine who forgave and married Mohib the psychologist in the show. Also does Mohib leaving someone and marrying another woman ring bells? 💀 ya he did that in this drama

Why did we forget Jo Bichar Gaye? Hello??

I hate how no one hyped up Jo Bichar Gaye and other dramas like that and then everyone has the audacity to say we keep exploring the same themes. The production, the setting, the acting (especially Maya Ali's)—all of it was AMAZING. You would think you're watching something off netflix or smt.

That year (and I think the year after too), Lux Style Awards didn't even nominate that drama and that was the moment I stopped following LSA. I always loved it because it was our Emmy/Oscars where all Pakistani celebs gathered and were awarded performances across TV, Film, Music and Fashion but when it came to a masterpiece like Jo Bichar Gaye (and there were other dramas too it didn't nominate) it failed and I kinda boycotted it. What's the point of these awards then?

Even other dramas like Gumn, Serial Killer, Faraar etc don't get half of the appreciation they deserve and then the mainstream opinion is Pakistani dramas tou aise hi hein same stories ye wo.

Zombeid could actually make sense

I love that a film of ours is going for that apocalyptic, fictional genre. I would have preferred a film on our own mythologies and urban legends (Karsaz Churail, Halmasti etc) rather than some western fiction (idk zombie origins) but zombies could actually make sense.

The way we just dump out intestines and other filth outside in Pak on Eid unfortunately and the casual mixing with blood and what not, koi zombie type virus phelta hua samajh asakta hai 🤣 I think this would be the premise of the movie too

Pakistani awam's opinions are ever-changing and quite volatile

Yall remember when Barzakh came out? Sanam and Fawad both got a hell lot of hate. The series itself, to me personally, seemed super pretentious and bekar ki English use hui wi thi har dialogue mein. They focused too much on symbolism than actual story. It was mostly hated because of showing some elements of homosexuality.

Anyways uske baad she was bad in the public's eye. All it took was Kafeel (which I loved btw), a drama about an innocent woman punished by society. Shareef aurat ka role kar ke now everyone loves her again.

Same can be said about other current mainstream artists. Maanu, Abdul Hanan, Hasan Raheem, other indie artists especially Amna Riaz (which I've been listening since their first songs and was looked down upon when I played them) were hated a lot. All it takes is a few songs (kya sach ho tum?, Jhol, Obvious) that everyone likes and everybody else joins in.

Does this happen everywhere or is only our awam like this?

Faran Tahir in dramas now

I mean the who played the main villain in the og Iron Man, why would he now come in Pakistani TV? I'm not degrading Pakistani dramas, some of them are like super good quality but few make stories that go out of the household. It's mostly family relatives judging or plotting against each other. Those like Faraar, Gumn, Serial Killer, Jo Bichar Gaye etc are rare.

I think something sus happened with him and he came back. He also said in an interview he wants to stay close to his Dad now which makes sense. Idk need someone to tell more details about him because I'm just curious.

Some doodles I made

I can't draw out of the blue. I need a reference. At which point you start drawing without looking and how?

Also one niche thing I can do is draw people's face without the eyes, nose and mouth and the picture still is immediately recognizable.

My Poem on Fingerprints

Saw the flair for poetry so I said why not

From the mother's womb to death's embrace, Nature's own labyrinth, an intricate trace, Peeking through blood, sweat, dust and grime, A delicate pattern, indelibly engraved in time.

A lifelong companion, a faithful friend, Solely yours, from beginning to end, A mother's caress, a lover's hold, Each touch bearing this unfading mould.

From the divine virtue of patting an orphan's head, To murder, malice and other heinous deeds of dread, A silent witness to everything you do, Irrefutable evidence, an accomplice too.

Faint yet distinct, no two the same, Like the different storms, each has to tame, A million tales, stored in your hand, etched on your skin, So what shall you choose? A path of piety or a path of sin?

So when you act, heedless and out of sight Be mindful of these imprints and their might, Each crevice carrying the secrets you hide, Forever carved on your tips, never to be denied.
