Well…it was nice while it lasted
So not ready for triple digits again

So not ready for triple digits again
For those like myself who snagged the Dark Star promo when they initially rolled it out sometime around June 2025 ($35 Unlimited Premium monthly), I forgot it was apparently a one year deal and next month it’ll be $44.
Just wanted to give a heads up so you’re not surprised when you’re billed the full price when the promo ends for you like I was.
Not complaining, still heck of a deal, but the $35 price was great while it lasted.
I occasionally get the 5G+ network icon on my 17PM around where I live and I when I checked field test mode, it said n5 10mhz under 5G. I was confused because I thought 5G+ was n77/78 but I could be wrong.
I do have a screenshot but automod removed it.
Recently started receiving the 5G+ network icon around my residence and I got curious and decided to check. Apparently it’s N5? I thought N77/78 was classified as 5G+ and not low band?
There was a post a while back that described a bug in iOS 26.4 that breaks midband 5G on Dark Star if running in dual sim and I personally experienced this as I had no 5G+ on my 17PM once I updated.
I updated today to 26.5 and it seems the bug has been fixed and I now receive 5G+ again. Just a heads up if anyone else is having these issues, updating to 26.5 with the new carrier bundles may or may not help.
EDIT: This may or may not rectify the bug, it’s hit or miss.
I posted a couple of weeks back about 5GUW seemingly being out not only at my residence but the surrounding area and after checking the network status portal online, it confirmed there was an outage and a week later, it said it was fixed.
It hasn’t.
There is still no UW at my residence whereas before this ‘outage’ service was absolutely stellar, fantastic speeds and coverage but now it’s lacking and things time out. It’s the same thing at the places I frequent, there’s no UW apart from one CVS and a Target about ten minutes in either direction.
I’m not too familiar with what’s happening corporate wise but is this the new norm? I’m old enough to remember the ‘can you hear me now?’ commercials and I understand that may or may not hold forever but to say service was ‘fixed’ when it just plainly wasn’t is laughable.
FWIW, I have a 17PM.
